"I have never had to have anything like this done before. We are putting new flooring down and over the years the house had settled. We called in a local structural engineer, Bill Wingate, he assessed the project and said he worked well with Falcone. I called them and they came down and confirmed Mr. Wingate's opinion and e-mailed me an estimate. It was very close to what I expected considering the work that was to be done. They scheduled me and I paid them the deposit. They came in (Tom and Dan) and got right to work. They were very kind and answered all of my questions and their politeness was only outdone by their focus on doing an excellent job. They overcame any structural imperfections in the home's original design. When Mr. Wingate came in for a final walk through with Tom and I he said everything was correct and that they had done a great job. You can bet that I will recommend, without hesitation, to my neighbors. Thank you is not enough for Tom and Dan. They put their best foot forward. I am very pleased."

"Junior and his team did a fantastic job from start to finish! To start, Junior was upfront and honest during the quote, especially in areas where we could save money or piece the project out due to the large span and overall cost. Junior was very communicative regarding his scheduling and worked around our busy schedules. During the job, his crew did a fantastic job of marking and repairing the walls before painting, and the finished project was beyond our expectations. "We impulsively purchased an old log home suffering from neglect. The
damage was much worse than we thought; we even had one contractor advise
us to tear it down and start over.
Clarence Gant, owner of Cand D Custom Log Finishing did not even blink. He and his crew dove in and spent several months putting our poor old house into good order.
The previous owner had painted all the logs a glossy brown enamel (to hide all the Bondo he had packed in to cover the rot!) and Clarence and his crew carefully sanded, stained and re-chinked our 2,300 Sq. Ft. house, replacing logs and railings as needed. This in itself was not small task, as the logs were of random sizes so the replacements had to be planed to fit.
They sanded, caulked, and painted the porch floors and ceilings, including even the screen porch ceiling, which peaks at about 20'.
They also arranged for a sub-contractor to replace a 12'x40' concrete slab porch on one side of the house. Clarence and his crew built concrete piers under the new slab to support it.
An unexpected problem occurred when they had to power-wash a board-and-batten addition (1950's), two large rooms off one corner of the house. When they started the power wash, the water came streaming through all the microscopic cracks in the wood! So they carefully caulked the whole addition and we have not had any more problems (or bats in the bedroom, for that matter!)
I cannot say enough good things about Clarence Gant and Cand D Custom Log Finishing. Without them, we would not have the beautiful, and much less drafty, log home we love so much. Thank you, Clarence and everyone for saving our house!"

"The project manager was on site within a few hours of my initial contact and took the time to explain the process to me and get all the information to create a job estimate. I had the estimate a few hours later and the crew arrived first thing the next morning to perform the work: remove carpet padding on second floor, remove damaged ceiling drywall on first floor, dry out the house.
The crew was very professional and treated of all my belongings as I would. Everything was tarped with plastic sheeting or moved out of the way. They cleaned as they worked and again when they were done.  The job took exactly as long as was predicted and by its completion there was no evidence they had been there, other than the missing ceiling. The employees of Disaster Response were very professional and friendly and although I hope I never have to, I would hire this company again no questions asked.
Currently evaluating contractors for reconstruction work, will update the review if I choose Disaster Response for that phase of the work.

"'B-/C+' is the real grading. He manages several non-English speaking crews and so the quality of varies and no recourse with the people performing the work. The jobs looks good from afar, but the details are lacking. Many houses here are built with a "carpenter's gap" (google it). The workers did not mention this to me or to James Taylor, the consequence is my roof continues to let in vermin and this is now much more expensive to fix (I offered to pay the difference to fix this, never heard back). The workers also slid down the shingles and there is shingle wear where they slid down on their butts. The roof is functioning correctly, although we have sealed a several popped nails. The siding install was just the siding, the quote apparently did not include painting/sealing where the trim butts up against the siding ( I was told this is standard practice, so now I have to get up on a ladder and paint this myself). I was glad house wrap was included, but the work was carelessly cut and not according to Tyvek's overlap specification nor fastening (see picture. Manufacturer specification specifies a 6" overlap (red dots) and washered fasteners). Billing was clear enough. Email/phone response times long."
