"Chris helped me with footers, new driveway install all the way to the sidewalk, and foundation repair. Very fair with his pricing, I would use him again. He does honest, conscientious work, and is a good fella. He will come back to make sure the work he did was done right, he is solid! I am using him now and will use him for anything else I need that he can do, I will not bother with anyone else."

Small jobs welcome

"We hired WH Concrete to install two 8x8 concrete pads for two hot tubs for rental apartments. Our experience with them was wonderful. William and John came on time for the estimate, and gave us suggestions to improve our original ideas, and explained what the total project would involve. The location is on a very sloped hill, so the project included digging out a lot of soil to level the sites, including removing some big rocks and cutting through many thick roots. They also built a retaining wall with water drainage to prevent water flow during storms. The actual pads were reinforced with gravel and rebar, and turned out perfectly level and beautiful. William and John kept us up to date on their schedule, and always met that schedule. They were very professional, competent, and friendly throughout. I think the job was a bit more involved than we anticipated, but they never asked to change the quote. They cleaned up totally after the project, and used the soil they had removed to level out the property, which I believe was extra to what what was quoted. We strongly recommend them for any project you might have!"

"Highly recommended!  I contracted with Brick Solutions owner, Joe Walls, to have a badly damaged concrete driveway replaced with brick pavers.  I had previously gotten estimates for replacing the driveway with new concrete but I was concerned about damaging the roots of a very old tulip poplar tree adjacent to the driveway.  When the concrete contractor informed
me if he didn?t cut the roots he couldn?t guarantee the concrete but if he did cut the roots he could not guarantee the tree would survive, I decided to go with brick.
Joe said he could do the driveway without damaging the roots.  He broke up the old concrete with a jackhammer rather than bringing in heavy equipment.  We consulted with an arborist who told Joe what could or could not be cut.  When our plan to save a portion of the old concrete did not work out because it was too cracked Joe volunteered to break it up and replace it
with brick at no extra charge.  He worked carefully, followed all out suggestions, and managed to give us a smooth brick
driveway that looks much better than what we had before.
In short, Brick Solutions did a great job for a reasonable price and it was pleasure to work with Joe.

"AR Concrete Finishing showed up when they said they would, finished prepping the site for the patio pour. The pour went well, the guys did a good job finishing the concrete. The finished patio looks great. Would definitely use them again."

"Poured a complex concrete pad on a slope. Looks great and is functional for the hot tub. Estimate was off a bit due to the slope and price was competitive for the area. Was on time and delivered as promised. Only downside was they cleaned out their buggy ‘in the woods’ which was my neighbors property and I had to go back and pick up after them."

Concrete Driveways questions, answered by experts

Maintaining a driveway depends on its material. For concrete and asphalt, it's best to clean the surface thoroughly twice a year with a stiff broom and a pressure washer to remove accumulated dirt and debris. Sealing the driveway is crucial to protect it from water damage and freeze-thaw cycles. Before applying a sealant, pressure wash the surface to remove any loose sealant, dirt, or stains, as sealing over them will trap them. Any cracks or expansion joints should be filled with a flexible polyurethane caulk or asphalt sealer. In colder climates, use sand instead of salt for de-icing. Sand helps melt snow and ice without accelerating the freeze-thaw process, which can cause cracks.

Yes, you can pressure wash with just water. The force of the water alone is often enough to remove dirt, grime, and debris from many surfaces. However, for tougher stains like grease, mildew, or algae, adding a detergent or cleaning solution can enhance the cleaning power. Be sure to use the appropriate nozzle and pressure settings for the surface to achieve the best results without causing damage.

In most cases, driveway repair is worth the investment. Your driveway is one of the first things people see when they look at your home, so repairing cracks, chips, and potholes can improve your home’s curb appeal and overall value. Repairing your driveway is also almost always more affordable than replacing it entirely—an average of $1,765 compared to the cost of replacing a driveway, which typically costs around $5,000.

You should always hook up your pressure washer to the water supply before turning it on and ensure there’s a good water flow. If you try to turn the machine on without water in the system, it overworks and overheats the unlubricated pump. This can quickly lead to irreversible damage.

Yes, you can, but you’ll need to acquire the right pressure washer tips and cleaning solutions for the job. In particular, you’ll need tips that are capable of lowering the pressure from a max of 3,500 PSI to between 150 and 300 PSI. As for the cleaning solution, look for options that are clearly marked for soft washing rather than pressure washing.
