"within minutes, I received a call from the very friendly and professional Michelle. Calling me all the way from California! Michelle explained the services she could and could not offer in terms of my needed furniture repair. And while she cannot help me specifically with my furniture issue, she offered a very generous solution: she is going to send me leather dye for the scratched ottoman and talk me through the repair, should I need help! Michelle also explained that she deals with customers all over the country, in need of leather and purse and clothing repair, cleaning, and restoration. Based on my extremely positive experience with Michelle, I will be sure to call her in the future when I need help with fur, leather or suede goods!!!"

"Administratively, they were great about following up with me in the planning process. They were friendly and really went out of their way to work with me. I had the "move in/move out" package. I was impressed by the fact that their prices were decent, and that you pay by the job and not by the hour. When I arrived to the apt on move in day, it was clean, cool, and smelt good. The fridge, stove, baseboards, floors, bathrooms, etc all looked really good. The only reason I took off one star was because my husband found some dirt in a vent or two. But otherwise, they did an awesome job, and I highly recommend them."

Couch Cleaning Services questions, answered by experts

While you can run your HVAC system without an air filter, it isn’t something professionals recommend—especially not for an extended period. It can reduce indoor air quality, clog air ducts, and strain your system. This can lead to performance issues, higher energy bills, costly repairs, and a reduction in the system's lifespan.

While a carbon filter can reduce particles in the air, it’s not intended to reduce moisture, and the filter will be less effective in a humid environment. To lower the humidity in your hydroponic set-up, you should opt for a dehumidifier instead of a filter.

While an air purifier can trap mold spores and stop them from spreading around your home, it’s not the most effective solution for tackling the problem. Mold is caused by excess moisture and humidity, so there’s a good chance you have an issue somewhere else in your HVAC system that needs to be addressed.

It’s not customary to tip HVAC technicians, and most professionals won’t expect it. However, it’s a nice way of showing your appreciation for the work they do, especially if they come out in inclement weather or on a weekend or holiday to fix an emergency issue if your heat or AC goes out in extreme temperatures. A good tip would be between 10% to 20% of the total bill, depending on how above and beyond the tech goes for your repair and on the total cost of your HVAC repair or service. For something like a routine tune-up or scheduled maintenance, tips aren’t expected.

Professionals can enhance an A/C system’s longevity by optimizing settings and performing thorough checks on all system components.
