Removed and replaced all the windows in the house. Added wood framing where necessary to accommodate new windows. Flashed outside to trim them all out. Looks fantastic! Harts Roofing & WindowsEverything went VERY WELL. I am so pleased with this company. We are new to the area and hadn't had much luck trying to get our windows replaced when we first moved here. So we delayed the project. So glad we did. Mr Derek Hart was such a nice man who really made the effort to win our business. we found him at the NEW BERN HOME AND GARDEN CONVENTION, at New Bern convention center spring 2014. He followed up shortly after with a home visit and inspection. He had the cost estimate within 24 hrs. even negotiated the price in our favor to seal the deal. Mr Hart is a geniunely nice man trying to provide a service. He was on the job the day of installation to check on his crew. followed up a day or 2 later to see the finish work and make sure we were satisfied & that there were no problems with the windows. there was a small scratch on the inside pocket of the one slider. He immediately contacted the company to have the whole panel replaced which was done in a very timely manner. Mr Hart's installers "ANTHONY" and his "DAD". They were such a great team. they worked so well together that the job just went so smoothly. they were also very respectful of our home and property. we really enjoyed having them do the job in our home. they finished 11 large windows, 2 sliding glass door, in 1 day. then returned promptly the next morning to install the last sliding door. They cleaned up beautifully, halted away all the old windows and sliders debris. The whole experience was very positive. I love my new windows and that they were made in the good old U.S.A. Harts Roofing & WindowsIn June 2014, my old tenant vacated my rental property in Emerald Isle, NC.   I needed some work done on the property and am currently living in Massachusetts. Obviously, I was somewhat skeptical of dealing with contractors after some previously bad experiences. However, I joined Angie’s list after hearing many good stories of successes. I found Hart's Roofing and Windows on line through Angie’s. I selected three companies and Derek's company, Hart’s Roofing and Windows responded almost immediately. I only received one other response. I decided to go with Hart's windows. Derek ordered my windows and replaced all 11 and did a great job. A month later, one of the windows had a problem and Derek came out that week and ordered a new one. Keep in mind, Derek is based out of Wilmington NC and had no problem driving to Emerald Isle, which isn't right down the street. I did received the top of the line windows so the cost of a little more than I originally expected. I want to mention that Derek is a straight up honest man. He demonstrated his honestly after I asked him about changing out the front door and by checking my roof. Derek came back and advised my front door was fine and the roof as a few more years. Trustworthy, honest and I believe if you choose Derek’s company you will be very satisfied. Great job Derek and his crew. I will be using Hart’s Roofing and Window’s going forward! Terry Hardy- Terrence H.

The Improvement CoThese home improvements were scheduled over the course of eleven months. Some tasks took considerably longer than the projected time frame. Some delays were weather- related. Others were related to my schedule. And some were simply that all houses are different and mine had some idiosyncrasies that needed workarounds. I have been very pleased with the quality of the final product in every case. Bryan was great to work with on the front end and was thorough in explaining the windows' features and the overall installation process, the installation crew did a fine job installing and wrapping our new windows, and when I had some questions after installation, Joe and Bryan were quick to respond. I would definitely use Leap again for other home projects.

Initially impressed with reviews of Mr. Harts and his crew. They did not disappoint in any respect. Derek Harts did all of the measuring and addressed our concerns. Mr. Hart’s kept us updated on the progress of our bow window (built for our space). He called us when the window arrived, but the stormy weather was not cooperative. Checked in with us until the rain let up and then scheduled the removal of our old bow window and the installation of our beautiful new window! Mr. Harts and his crew were very prompt, patient with ALL of our questions, very knowledgeable/professional, all measurements were correct the first time, extremely heavy window. This time the big bow window was installed correctly with overhead cable supports and shield from top of window up to sealed soffit. I hosed it down with strongest stream from garden hose to simulate hurricane force, and not one drop of water was observed inside. There was some rot from where the old window had been leaking and they removed the siding from below the window and replaced the rotten wood and reinstalled the siding. The first thing we noticed was that we could stand in front of our bow window and not feel the heat from the sun that kept us from using this space! We would not hesitate to use them again, worth every penny!!!!

Owner Ricky Stroup was infinitely patient with us, as after our initial meeting it took us over a year to hire his company to do this work. During that year, we had multiple conversations with him regarding the scope of our project, and he was as willing to contract the scope as to expand it. He wrote several proposals for us, so we could see the financial impacts of our different scope options. Our indecision on scope, and delay in scheduling, never caused any frustration or ill will on his part. Mr. Stroup was helpful, friendly, and patient throughout! His team installed everything in one day, and all who worked on our project were extremely courteous and professional. We have been very impressed with the quality of the work. Working with Gutter Glove of North Carolina was an enjoyable experience, and I recommend this company!

Revised April 15, 2020: Communication ultimately improved. There were legitimate reasons for the poor communication. The owner's apology was accepted. Work was not completed until recently because there was not previously a large enough predicted window of good weather during which to complete the project. Once on the job, the employees were EXCELLENT. Their workmanship was skilled and detailed. They were courteous and maintained a clean work environment. The aluminum trim metal was fabricated on site. It exactly fits under the drip edge of the already installed metal roof and folds around the fascia to help support the soffit. They also covered porch beams by fitting the aluminum under the vinyl siding. They removed and replaced the capitals on porch posts as necessary to obtain exact fits there. A lift was required to reach some areas. They were very cautious and protective of the driveway and yard where it needed to be placed, I highly recommend the actual work completed and the customer service / communication from the owner has improved.
