I am asthmatic and as it turns out the ionic air purifier actually causes my asthma to act up. I called Dustin, the sales manager for area code 28304, to explain the issue with the air purifier. I told Dustin that I would like to return the air purifier. He told me he would get in touch with his boss to see what Terminix could do to resolve the issue. My mind was already made up that I was not going to use the air purifier for fear that it would make my asthma worse. Today, August 3, Terminix sent out the Bell Cow technician to my house to see what I wanted to do about the air purifier. I was given the choice to lower the intensity of the purifier or have it completely removed. I had the purifier removed. Dustin told me that Terminix would credit my account for the amount I spent on the air purifier. I felt that was very fair to me as a customer because I do realize a loss is incurred by the company for taking back a used product. I am grateful. Dustin came by my house this evening to discuss other services that I wanted to purchase since I had credit on my account. I was not pressured or encouraged to get other services just because Terminix credited my account for the air purifier. This was voluntary on my account. I discussed with Dustin whats most important to me: my crawl space and my attic. I was given a number of options and their costs. There was no pressure to purchase any particular item or service. I settled on an air inducer for my crawl space, benefect spray for the crawl space, and insulation in my attic. Dustin has been servicing my house for a good number of years. Hes never been pushy about getting new services. I do feel he is honest with customers. The new services will be performed on my house Friday August 7. I will do a follow up review for those.

Anyway, Kevin and his guys came out, identified the problem and fixed the pipe as well as wrapped it with insulating/heat tape. Yes Kevin I WILL get my pump house wired for a light now! Third time is a charm. :-) Kevin also called an electrician to help with that who came over promptly and is in fact working to get my pump house wired for a light to hopefully avoid this problem in the future. As I settle here in Fayetteville, I am looking to find reputable decent businesses that I can trust and rely upon and I think I can safely add Kevin Jone's Plumbing to that list. We thought everything was great until recently, when we started tracking down the source of an unpleasant smell coming from under our house. We discovered our crawl space was damp and that the floor was no longer insulated. Mr. Blanton called as soon as he was made aware of our concerns, and someone came out the next day. FAQs for insulation service projects in Elizabethtown, NC
When choosing a professional insulation installer, consider asking these questions to determine the best fit.
Will you address air leaks in my house?
Can you provide an R-value (heat resistance) fact sheet?
What kind of insulation will work best for my home?
How do you handle signs of a water leak?
Are you licensed and insured?
Can you provide customer references?
The best type of insulation for your home depends on what you need, so the answer will depend on your specific situation. If you’re building a house, structural panels are easy to install during the building process in addition to being the most energy efficient type. If you live in a warm climate, reflective insulation may benefit you more as it costs less than other insulation types. And for standard attics, loose-fill, spray foam, or blown-in insulation work well.
If you plan to heat or cool your garage, you’ll need to insulate the garage ceiling. Insulating your garage ceiling will make your garage much more energy efficient and save on heating and cooling costs. Not only does insulation make your garage more energy efficient, it helps reduce noise and can extend the life of your garage roof. You can use fiberglass, cellulose, mineral wool, or spray foam insulation for this project.
In some cases, you may not have enough insulation to properly regulate your home’s temperature. Watch for a few signs your home needs more insulation, such as:
High heating and cooling bills
Uncomfortable room temperatures
Ice dams on the edge of your roof
Roof leaks
Cold floors and walls
Freezing pipes
Temperature fluctuations
Visibly low insulation
Noise problems
Pest problems
On average, insulating an attic costs about $2,500, ranging from $1,500 to $3,500, depending on the insulation type, amount, and your attic’s accessibility. Additional cost factors include sealing air leaks, removal or replacement of insulation, and inspections.
Types of insulation include:
Blown-in: $1–$4 per square foot
Spray foam: $2–$5 per square foot
Batt: $2–$4 per square foot
Structural insulated panels: $4–$7 per square foot
Loose-fill: $2–$5 per square foot
Reflective: $0.50–$1.50 per square foot
