Customers say: True professional

"We couldn't be happier with the way our renovation turned out. Dustin was very professional, punctual and sensitive to the fact that we were living in the space during renovation. It was a big job and even the smallest details were given attention so that nothing was over looked."

"I hired KCs Trade Services to create two mailbox pillars. He did an excellent job creating them from our description and some examples. He worked efficiently and on time. I have received many compliments on the mailbox. I would definitely engage for further masonry or other jobs around the house."

Small jobs welcome

Two years ago, I started working for myself. Thanks to my experience in various construction and yard maintenance roles, I've developed skills that I now apply to the services I offer my clients. I made this decision primarily because it allows me to spend more time with my daughter (I'm a single father). Thank you in advance for your interest.

Mailbox Repair questions, answered by experts

Learning how to fix water-damaged or swollen wood is possible, but it won’t always work if there is significant warping or structural damage that was caused by the water. Cosmetic issues such as nicks, bubbling and peeling can often be fixed by using an iron, sanding, or using wood filler.

Wood furniture is usually vulnerable to water damage. However, larger furniture tends to have a high chance of being salvaged as long as it hasn’t been standing in water for more than 24 hours. You can restore bedpoles, table and couch legs, and other wood parts that haven’t been fully saturated. Meanwhile, smaller objects like decors or furniture with fabric wrapping may require full replacement.

Paper moving pads, also called furniture wrapping paper or paper moving blankets, are sheets of recycled paper used to protect various items during moving. Similar to traditional moving blankets, paper pads are also reusable, making them a sustainable and cost-effective option for protecting your belongings during the moving process. Although they’re recycled, they still provide excellent protection against dust, dirt, and scratches.

Careful measurement is crucial—measure multiple times and account for hardware thickness, seasonal wood movement, and clearance requirements. Test-fit components before final assembly, and consider building one drawer as a prototype before cutting materials for multiple units.

Minor water damage on wood tables can be reversed fairly easily. You can remove stains and light surface damage with a sandblock, then repaint and re-varnish the wood surface. For swollen and rotten wood, you can cut away the damaged parts and use a wood filler as long as the affected area isn’t too much.
