"I contacted Michael and John to move my already packed rental to my new home. The move was about 15 miles away, but I had quite a few heavy pieces. Michael gave me a reasonable quote and scheduled it for that weekend. Michael and John showed up right on time and were very patient as I explained about moving my upright piano. They were thorough yet expedient and wasted no time loading all of my belongings. Michael and John unloaded all of my furniture and boxes the same day into my forever home. There wasn't a scratch on any of my furniture, including my piano (pictured below). I have finally finished unpacking my boxes and there wasn't a single thing that was broken in the move. "Working with Michael to set up the two moves with terrific. My problems came from the actual movers. The first movers dropped a heavy piece and damaged it. This group to our items to a location where they were transferred to another group to finish the move. More damage happened. The second move was done by a different group who picked up our things and delivered them. Again some damage. My problem with the second move was with the claim department at National Van Lines. I was overly careful about the damages I claimed (only submitting the largest items or easiest to replace), but had to negotiate to get a fair deal. BUT NVL did set me up with a great guy who could fix most of the damaged items."
