"The Santiago team showed up on time and proceeded in covering the walls and flooring with protective sheeting, which was a plus...no dust. The ceilings needed repair, nail pops throughout and some retaping in the great room. Lasers were used to position the taping, which turned out perfectly. There were a couple of spots that were overlooked, but were promptly addressed. All in all, we are very satisfied with Santiago Home Improvements and their professionalism."

His price was fair and reasonable. They even game on the 4th of July to touch up, and to our surprise, cleaned the front window by the doors. We also hired them to power wash our walk/driveway and clean the gutters.We have had more than a few compliments on our home. Our 3-step process is the! First, Cobra will spray a plant and animal friendly product on the surface to gently lift the stains from the surfaces. Secondly, a light pressure wash to the surface will gently wash away the dirt, mold, organics, and mildews to prepare the surface for the coating. Finally, a protective coating specifically tailored to your surface will be applied to protect from the harmful UV rays and the built in water sealer will help shed any water or accidental spills. I chalked it up to communication issues and lack of properly trained staff and decided to give them a second chance. Sadly I was wrong and things ended the same way they began. Bad. Communication is a huge issue for this organization and office staff leave a lot to be desired. If you get Giovanni on the phone, you will get attitude, but you will not get any information or commitment on a callback or even any confidence that he will even convey the message at all or properly. The initial consult done by Chris was thorough and while I pointed all of the issues with my bad driveway, he assured me it could be saved. Then after weeks of chasing them around and the nice man who came here to do the work said 'no way' could the driveway be saved with a patch/paint/sealing. It was relayed to me that Chris said he did not know it was that bad until after it was power washed. Very strange since the items the man who was here pointed out as issues were the same issues I pointed out to Chris weeks back. The only good person there was Jennifer and I'm told she quit; small wonder. So, we canceled the rest of the work they were to do for us and settled on just paying for the power washing. What is really interesting is that they hounded me constantly for 7 days for the payment with many phone calls, and constant emails. They seem to know how to communicate when they want your money; that is the only thing you can depend on if you go with them. I am sad to have to leave this review but think it is best to make others aware. I would steer clear of Cobra Deck or Renew Crew, which was their former name."

We were established in 2006 through a lot of sweat, tears and 80-hour work weeks, like most small businesses. I left my cushy upper management job in corporate to take over the great business my wife had started. She had decided to make our home a happier place by learning to paint faux finishes through our home like marbled ceilings and a brick painted patio. Then the neighbors wanted them, their friends and so forth. The name "Express Yourself Paint" came from customer's expressing their unique character through faux finishes. We started out in an eight-foot utility trailer with the forty-foot ladders hanging out to infinity with red flags tied to them and a used spray gun. We looked more like the Red Neck Painters of Raleigh. Thanks to all those trusting souls who allowed us to paint for them in those early days! We came from humble beginnings, but we wanted to create a different kind of painting company. A company that is high performance, uses modern technology for communicating and scheduling making for a more satisfied customer experience while still applying paint the old fashion way...brushes, rollers and sprayers. Our desire to be different has resulted in us becoming the largest and most successful repaint company in the Triangle. All that said, we still trip over our own feet sometimes and as of yet have not discovered how to be perfect. Give us a try and we will most definitely put our best foot forward for you.
