"This so far has been absolutely the best experience with business in the Durham area.  We are first time house owners and have owned a house for four years and it has taken time to find right people whom one could trust.  John's attitude and service were unparalleled.  He came the day after we called, we scheduled the cleaning of the roof and the porch for the week we were gone.  When we came back, the  roof was in good shape and got better as the chemicals continued working; our large porch was sparkling.  No damage was done.  The whole thing cost $350.  We were/are very pleased

"Was very responsive to original inquiry. Day of service they arrived 15 minutes early and began. I cannot say how pleased we were w/ every aspect of their work. They were polite, thorough, did a great job all at a very reasonable price. I will use them for any similar need in the future. Highly recommend"

"These guys are Pros. Quoted within 24 hours. Completed the work on schedule and on time. They arrived promptly, were friendly and worked tirelessly to complete the project and cleaned up. We performed a walk through of the entire house prior to payment. This was the second time East Coast performed this work and We will be calling them again for a third in the future. 😀😀"

Sandblasting Services questions, answered by experts

Sandblasting refers to the process of cleaning a surface using compressed air and aggregate. Soda blasting is the gentlest type of this method, but it differs from sandblasting that uses mineral or other aggregate, since sodium bicarbonate breaks apart more easily than other forms of blast media and, therefore, cannot be reused.

Sandblasting removes old paint, rust, and grime efficiently, providing a clean surface for refinishing.

DIY is possible, but professional services ensure even removal, safety compliance, and proper cleanup.

Soda-blasting systems are slightly more expensive than sandblasting systems. To soda blast, you’ll need to spend a few hundred dollars for a blast hose and nozzle, a compressed air supply, a blast generator, a moisture decontamination system, and sodium bicarbonate media, a recurring cost because the powder is not reusable. To start with sandblasting, you will need to spend upwards of $30 for a blast pot, a blast gun, an air compressor, and sandblasting media, many of which are recyclable—further reducing the cost. The total cost for either will depend on the size of the system.

Sandblasting is useful when you need to strip material off a hard surface. Common reasons to sandblast are to remove paint, rust, or get a surface ready for a new material. You aren’t limited to surfaces like walls either—you can sandblast rusted tools, bicycle frames, cement, bricks, and many others. If what you’re sandblasting is still structurally sound, sandblasting can be a fast and inexpensive way to revive the original material.
