"All Around Tree Service (Jason & his guys) cut several trees and large branches damaged in the Hurricane Helene storm, removed debris and pruned several branches on non-damaged trees at our request. Jason always responded propmptly when contacted and discussed thoroughly with us what work would be done. We were very, very pleased with the work of All Around Tree Service and will definitely call again when needed. Thank you Jason! Donna and Bill Apple"

"After decades of home ownership and working with tree companies, Hyler Tree Service is the best team I have worked with and could not be happier with them. We had a number of trees that needed to be taken down, trimming, and removal of some bushes. Greg Hyler, company owner, was a pleasure to deal with from estimate-to-finish and tremendous experience. He openly shares his knowledge without selling which is a huge plus. Communication was outstanding as was timeliness, cost, and skill. Greg and the team are exceptionally friendly and skilled. They climbed trees when needed and dropped others when it made sense and worked to avoid yard/nearby tree/shrub damage which is rare as yard/shrub damage is often a hidden cost with tree work. Everything about their work was fast, friendly, efficient, experienced, professional, and reasonable."

Customers say: Quick response

"Very responsive, very conscientious, treated my project like it was his own property. For the money we got a lot of excellent tree work done by Jesse and his two helpers. They opened up our view with minimal damage to the rhododendrons below which was our hope. We would and will use Tree Fellars again."

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

A tree can grow back from its stump, but full regrowth is unlikely (especially for more stubborn conifer trees). Instead, trees are more likely to send up a number of shoots from the dead stump, which will try to develop into primary stems over time. In other words, it will start to look increasingly bushy. The goal of killing and drying out a tree stump is to prevent that from happening, as well as make the stump easier to completely remove.

Leaving the tree stump and letting it rot is never a good idea, as this leads to insect infestations and other frustrations. Additionally, decomposing trunks are at risk for diseases that spread out to the remaining plants and trees in the yard, thus ruining your whole outdoor aesthetic. It's usually best to remove the stump at the same time you remove the tree.

Absolutely. These steps are significantly easier, too, especially when it comes to preserving the root ball and moving the palm tree. However, you will want to make sure the tree has plenty of fertilizer to establish itself and start growing. Supports may also be more important, as it can take extra time for a potted palm to spread out its roots. If you are transferring a palm to another pot, you’ll want to move up a size or two to a larger pot. Make sure the pot has excellent drainage to keep the palm from getting waterlogged.

If you’re wondering whether you can plant a tree where the stump was removed, know that the soil conditions won’t be ideal, so you should avoid it. The soil beneath the previous tree will likely be depleted of nutrients, plus there may be roots left behind that will seriously hinder the growth of a new tree. Also, if you use salt or other chemical solutions to kill the stump, these can linger in the soil for months or even years and prevent healthy growth. It’s best to choose a different spot that’s at least three feet away for a new tree, or wait at least a year and thoroughly amend the soil before you plant.

Often, it’s the homeowner’s responsibility to handle the aftermath when a neighbor’s tree falls on their property. But if a tree has been obviously dead for a significant period of time and caused damage when it fell, a case can be made that the owner should have removed it, especially if the neighbor wrote you a letter about the tree or asked you to take it down. This can be grounds for a successful lawsuit in claims court and is a good reason to always pay attention to your trees and remove dead trees before they fall.
