"Excellent. After I spent 5 days using everything I could think of to unclog my kitchen sink drain including Drano, plunger, boiling water, and finally, a line snake, Nathan got it done. He even went under the house, in the crawl space, to run the snake from another direction. And it worked! He then tackled the bathroom faucet leak by taking apart the faucet handles, replaced a plastic washer, and no more leak! When all else fails...call a professional. Thanks Nathan!"

Drain Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Keep your egress window from flooding by ensuring that the drainage system in the window well is clear and in good working condition. Inspect the window well every few months to remove any blockages and test the drainage system. It’s better to discover potential problems before your window well fills with water during heavy rain.

Yes, sewage smells can originate from a floor drain. If the P-Trap in the floor drain dries out or if there's a clog or other issue in the plumbing system, sewer gasses can escape through the drain, causing nasty odors. Regularly pouring water into the drain helps maintain the water seal and prevent those smells, but if the smell persists, you should have a plumbing professional inspect the drain for potential problems.

That pungent rotten egg smell coming from your drain is likely the buildup of biofilm—hair, skin, and soap scum that turns into a black sticky mess. In this case, pouring down near-boiling water, baking soda, and white vinegar will remove the smell. Keep in mind that a rotten egg smell is occasionally a sign of larger sewage line clogs and other related issues.

Common causes include hair buildup, soap residue, food particles, and foreign objects. Older pipes can also contribute by facilitating buildup more easily.

The cost varies from $150 to $600, depending on the severity of the clog, pipe access, and required equipment.
