After going over all my options he helped me pick out the best plan to get rid of ants in our yard and protect our home from termites. Great experience and Reasonable fees with good options. "They are timely in answering calls. I got a realistic timeline about what they would be doing. Realistic pricing for the repair and control- the only problem was apparently the raccoon outsmarted the camera! Apparently it got out before Justin reset the trap. Brad and Justin are easy to work with and if I ever have a problem again, they will be the company I call."
"Let me start by saying, Ant issues is the reason I contracted this company. I got the first service for 45.00 which I have read in other posts for varying amounts. The tech that came out (at 6:00 pm on Saturday and took about 30 minutes total) This was the time set by the phone call from a supervisor within seconds of paying the sales rep. The treatment was following a 4pm birthday party during the time I was trying to clean up after 30+ kids, which I tried to tell them was NOT a good idea. 3 days later I still had ants. The tech was not thorough with the application in my opinion. he granulated the yard and mulch beds with less that a coffee can sized spreader ( I have almost 100 feet of bedding 6' wide) I did pest control in the early 90's. when I questioned him and explained I was a certified pest control tech in days past I was told everything is completely different now and I basically dint know jack. No surprise that I had to get them back out a week later because my ant problem was unchanged. I was told to keep my house clean and caulk 2 small cracks under my patio door trim. I have OCD about germs you can eat off the floors in my house, secondly an ant can fit its body through any hole he can fit his head through. It is an impossibility to "calk" your house to an ant proof state. Not Happy, would not recommend, would not use again"
There are plenty of scents spiders hate, but there are some scents scientists believe can work in the opposite way and attract them into your home. Some studies suggest that spiders may be attracted to stinky items like smelly socks. One thought is spiders are attracted to smells that attract more insects, such as mosquitos, which they feed on.
Yes, crawl spaces can attract bugs, especially since moisture tends to build up in the space, and moisture attracts pests. A good way to prevent pest infestation in your crawl space is to install a vapor barrier—called crawl space encapsulation—on the interior to seal the space, along with a French drain or some other kind of foundation drainage system outside to keep runoff out of your crawl space. You can also seal foundation cracks and repair damages to cut off access to pests.
Prime mosquito season varies depending on your location. It’s longer in the sweltering southern states and shorter in the cooler, drier northern regions. In places like Florida, it can run from February to November, but in the Pacific Northwest, mosquitoes appear in April and can hang around until the end of October. While the hottest summer months are when they are at peak population, mosquito seasons are extending in many regions because of the increase in annual temperatures.
Carpenter bees do not make honey like honey bees, but they are still essential pollinators. In fact, they have a unique talent called "buzz pollination," in which they use the vibration from their wings to help release pollen from the flowers' anthers. Honey bees are also vital pollinators but do not use this process because they are too small and lack the strength required to buzz pollinate.
The main reason wolf spiders gravitate towards houses is the presence of their prey, including insects like flies and ants. Their attraction is also heightened by the availability of suitable shelter in areas cluttered or undisturbed and in moisture-rich environments like basements. Openings and gaps in the structure provide an easy access point for these spiders. During cold weather, wolf spiders may also seek warmth indoors, making your home an attractive refuge during harsh weather conditions.
