"John, the technician, arrived on time and was extremely professional. He assessed the pest issues at my home and was very knowledgeable of the products that would benefit my home the most. After going over all my options he helped me pick out the best plan to get rid of ants in our yard and protect our home from termites. Great experience and Reasonable fees with good options. I am very excited to continue working with Go-Forth Pest Control. So much peace of mind after today."
"They are timely in answering calls. I got a realistic timeline about what they would be doing. Realistic pricing for the repair and control- the only problem was apparently the raccoon outsmarted the camera! Apparently it got out before Justin reset the trap. Brad and Justin are easy to work with and if I ever have a problem again, they will be the company I call."
"Let me start by saying, Ant issues is the reason I contracted this company. I got the first service for 45.00 which I have read in other posts for varying amounts. The tech that came out (at 6:00 pm on Saturday and took about 30 minutes total) This was the time set by the phone call from a supervisor within seconds of paying the sales rep. The treatment was following a 4pm birthday party during the time I was trying to clean up after 30+ kids, which I tried to tell them was NOT a good idea. 3 days later I still had ants. The tech was not thorough with the application in my opinion. he granulated the yard and mulch beds with less that a coffee can sized spreader ( I have almost 100 feet of bedding 6' wide) I did pest control in the early 90's. when I questioned him and explained I was a certified pest control tech in days past I was told everything is completely different now and I basically dint know jack. No surprise that I had to get them back out a week later because my ant problem was unchanged. I was told to keep my house clean and caulk 2 small cracks under my patio door trim. I have OCD about germs you can eat off the floors in my house, secondly an ant can fit its body through any hole he can fit his head through. It is an impossibility to "calk" your house to an ant proof state. Not Happy, would not recommend, would not use again"
Leaving lights on is not an effective or foolproof method for keeping cockroaches away. While roaches are nocturnal and prefer darkness, light alone is not enough to stop them, especially if they are seeking food, water, or shelter. A bright light might temporarily discourage them, but hungry or determined roaches will often adapt and venture into lit areas. For more effective cockroach control, it is better to focus on proven prevention methods. These include maintaining cleanliness by eliminating food crumbs, sealing cracks and entry points, reducing clutter that provides hiding spots, and fixing any moisture issues. Using traps or repellents can also be part of a comprehensive strategy.
You can easily find sprays that claim they are safe for pets and kids. However, we’d rather not use them in our own homes if we’re worried about pet safety: They still include pesticides and other chemicals, and are best avoided in any food prep areas like the kitchen, or any spots where children and pets may place. That’s why sprays didn’t end up in our suggestions for the safest options.
Pantry bugs are rarely able to get into sealed packages, but they may try. If you find pests on or around a sealed food item, check inside to make sure the food is still clean. Not sure whether a package is contaminated? Spread the contents onto a cookie sheet and use a flashlight to look for pests.
Using audio and visual methods to discourage birds might work initially, but birds tend to acclimate to them over time. While chemical deterrents can show some effectiveness, their results can be inconsistent. Some may dissipate too quickly, and there's a risk they might cause unintended damage to your surroundings. Additionally, birds might become immune or resistant to the impact of such treatments.
Brown recluse spiders are found in Midwestern and South Central states like Nebraska, Ohio, Texas, and Georgia. While it’s possible to find spiders from the same genus elsewhere in the country, you’re unlikely to find a brown recluse infestation outside of these designated zones. In any case, there are other dangerous spider species across the U.S., so always use caution when dealing with infestations of any kind.
