"We had the windows in our top 2 levels replaced a couple years back with RBA and after experiencing the great customer service and quality of windows we decided to come back to finish updating our lower level windows. This experience was great from start to finish again. The windows and install are of high quality. Great care was given to strengthening the window wells upon installation."
"This company and employees were very helpful, polite and informative on updating and installing my front room window. It did take longer than usual for this project due to the fact that the window is no longer made in my size. So we had to wait for awhile. But it was worth the wait. Both my husband and I are greatly impressed with this company and our window. We have even had compliments on it. We also found that this window brings in more light than the old one. I will recommend this company to anyone who is looking for replacing or adding windows."
"The three man crew arrived at 8 am and got started immediately and installed 5 more windows(2nd time I hired them). They were finished by 12:30pm and were fast, efficient and very clean. they put down plastic and hauled away all the old windows and trash."

"I called Jim because my C drive was full and the system would not allow moving the files to my empty D drive. My wife also wanted me to upgrade to windows 7 from Vista. Jim came over looked at my system and explained my options , took the computer to fix it , and then quickly returned it.Jim set up the computer in my office and made sure that everything worked correctly. I am very happy and satisfied with the work performed."
"The installation was super easy but ultimately returned the system within the 30 day trial period. They send you the system which is super easy to install. You take the sticker off the back and place the sensor wherever you want it to go. Customer service is great. Reason we returned the system: 1) price- $35/month but doesn't include mobile app or crash and smash protection 2) the central system is HUGE and looks like it is from the 1980s. (The flat screen is an extra $150.) You also have to hang it on the wall by yourself and is super ugly and has a huge wire coming from it that has to be plugged in 3) Does not beep when doors are open when alarm is off We ended up ultimately going with Monitronics and we love it. They come and installed the system for free and they wire the flatscreen central monitor in the wall so you can't see any wires. We pay $35 per month which INCLUDES a mobile app and crash and smash protection. (front point cheapest plan with a mobile app and crash and smash protection is $45/month) The Monitronics system beeps and tells you whenever a door or window is open even if the alarm is off which is super helpful when you have kids."
"I called the company that was going to do my repairs, they gave me a window of time that they would be there. The repair man showed up, he called when he was on his way. He was very professional, he fould the problem, got permission to fix it from Choice Home Warenty, they gave it, and he fixed it. I couldn't have ask for better service from bothe Choice Home Warenty and the company they chose to fix my A/C."
"We hired Big Sky Cleaners for cleaning exterior windows of our building. They did a great job. They're response to requests/voicemails is not prompt."
"AHS needs to step up to the plate when their representative companies fall short. Our refrigerator broke in June and they sent a repair company who "fixed" the problem telling us to wait a few hours and then the fridge should be cold. Several hours later the fridge was still at room temperature. Upon contacting the repair company, they said they could not fix it then and would have AHS send out someone else. Several days later, a second repair company came. They said the first company had messed up the repair and determined that parts were required. Ordering the parts would take two weeks, so they scheduled a return in three weeks. At the return date, we received a call that the repair truck had broke down and they would need to re-schedule (not send an alternate or have someone come the next day, but re-schedule). The new date was the day we were to leave for vacation. We told the dispatcher that it would need to be a morning appointment. When they called the day before to give the window, it was an afternoon appointment. We told them that they had promised morning and they said okay and they would change it. As we were leaving for vacation at 2:00 PM, we got a call that the technician was on his way. We told them that they had promised morning and we had to leave and they were not even apologetic. The repair company then said the best they could do was three weeks later. When they came and put in the parts, it still did not work and they said that we would need a new fridge. AHS, under the agreement, offered two models for us to choose and we selected the one we wanted. We requested stainless steel as that was what we had. They informed me that I could only chose black or white and the upcharge to stainless was my problem. When I asked for some consideration in light of what I had been through, the person only could say "policy this" and "procedure that". SO AFTER ALL THIS - I HAD TO PAY $97.70 FOR STAINLESS STEEL. THEY COULD NOT EVEN TAKE THAT ON THEMSELVES AFTER ALL THE ISSUES I HAD WITH THEIR REPRESENTATIVE SERVICE COMPANIES.

Whether you need a permit to install a bay window depends on the project's scope. Replacing an existing bay window typically does not require a permit. However, if you are adding a new bay window, requirements can vary. Adding a new bay window to the front of your house usually requires a building permit, while adding one to the side or back of your house often does not. It's always best to check with your local municipality to confirm the specific requirements in your area. Additionally, if you live in a historic district, you should consult your neighborhood association to ensure your project complies with their construction guidelines. If you're unsure about the process, a professional can provide guidance.
On average, hurricane windows last between 20 and 30 years. But some windows only last 10 years, while others can last 50 years or longer. Vinyl hurricane windows have a shorter lifespan than aluminum, so invest in high-quality hurricane windows and properly maintain them to get the most out of your investment.
Because bay windows are a combination of three windows, there are many options for how wide or tall they can be. That said, individual windows come in standard sizes, and you can use those as a guide for the width and height of your bay window.
The type of casement window you have depends on where the hinges are located, the number of sashes, the style, and how the windows open. Single casement windows are popular casement windows that use a handle or crank to open. If you have two casement windows side by side, you likely have double casement windows.
Windows that swing inward can tip you off to having in-swing casement windows, while windows that open from the bottom and swing outwards are top-hinged. If you can open your windows by pushing them outwards like a door, you may have a type of push-out window.
Clean with non-abrasive cleaners and a soft cloth, avoiding ammonia-based products that can degrade the film.
