"The problem turned out to be a burned out small electric door switch. I believe the price was way too expensive for the service performed and the price of the door switch. What more can I say? It got done."

"Needed to troubleshoot an issue with electric to the garbage disposal which for him was an easy fix although he spent 45 minutes researching and verifying all electrical potential issues. He improved what he saw and then refused payment as the job was an easy fix. He still drove out, spent his time and a few small parts. Appreciate his honesty and work ethic."

"Chad and Scott did a fantastic job, from concept to completion of our project. We needed an interior wall, framing, door, drywall, texture, & painting, & all the details to enclose our kitchen from our entry. They understood our concept, and had the work done from start to finish in 2 weeks. Meticulous, detail-oriented, polite, & fun to have them here in our home are how we would describe our relationship with Chad & Scott. They even let us keep adding other small projects along with the wall construction, always being cheerful & accommodating. We would definitely recommend them to our friends & neighbors for any projects! Susan & Larry"

Electrical questions, answered by experts

When hiring electrical pros in Polson, look for contractors experienced with older homes and familiar with local building codes. Ensure they understand moisture issues from Flathead Lake and seasonal demands like heating system wiring. Ask for references from recent Polson projects, request detailed written estimates, and confirm they’ll handle all required permits and inspections. Clear communication about timelines and safety protocols is also essential.

Helpful?

In Polson, flickering lights during colder months, persistent burning odors from outlets, or visible rust on your electrical panel can indicate bigger problems. Watch for circuit breakers that trip repeatedly, warm or discolored outlets, and GFCI outlets that won’t reset—especially in homes near the lake. Older properties with outdated wiring or panels are at higher risk for issues that may require urgent professional attention.

Helpful?

In Polson, you can safely replace light bulbs, reset tripped GFCI outlets, or change outlet covers—always turning off power at the breaker and using a voltage tester first. Avoid any electrical work during storms or when humidity is high, as lake moisture increases risk. For anything involving electrical panels, new circuits, or unfamiliar wiring, contact a qualified local electrician for safety.

Helpful?

In Polson, simple jobs like outlet installation or light fixture replacement usually take a few hours. Larger projects, such as electrical panel upgrades or adding circuits, often require one to three days. Full rewiring or new construction may take up to a week. Local weather patterns, permit office processing in Lake County, and winter material delays can all extend project timelines, so plan ahead.

Helpful?

In Polson, electrical panels often need upgrades due to increased appliance use and age. Kitchens and bathrooms require regular attention for GFCI outlet installation and safe wiring. Heating system wiring, especially for furnaces and baseboard heaters, is crucial during winter. Outdoor areas, including dock lighting and exterior outlets, face extra wear from lake humidity, while basements may develop moisture-related electrical issues over time.
