"Found Sentri on Angi. Jeanette and Violet were very pleasant and efficient in getting a contractor to me in the time frame needed. The contractor was excellent and the roof looks great! I would definitely work with them again if I had additional projects."

"The guys were great. They were able to finish all of the tasks and a few more. Their pricing was fair and communication was very good. I was out of town while most of the tasks were done. If something came up they reached out and they had a solution. We are planning a bath remodel and they have already submitted a drawing. Their work is great and they’re easy to work with! When was the last time you said that about a contractor? Strongly recommend"

"Corey did an incredible job installing our kitchen cabinets! He is very professional and always thoroughly communicates with my husband and me to ensure everything is just the way we want it. I was also impressed by how clean he kept his work area, which was nice given the fact that we were currently living in our house at the time."

"Guardian Home Services did exceptional work on my home remodel. Dustin is the business owner/contractor who worked with me to transform an outdated 1980s house into a modern lakeside home. Dustin does quality work and always provided clear communications and progress updates. He is not only skilled at building but is creative and has a good vision for design solutions that suited my needs. His professionalism, expertise, and attention to detail exceeded my expectations. Every step of the project was handled with care and precision. The project was completed on time and within budget. Dustin takes pride in his work and his workmanship shows. I was also impressed that he always left the job site clean each day throughout the entire project. I highly recommend Guardian Home Services to anyone looking for top-notch home remodeling and/or home maintenance services."

Cabinet Contractors questions, answered by experts

Installing cabinet toe kicks after installing flooring is common, as this produces a sleek, streamlined appearance along the cabinetry bases. The toe kick is a cabinetry term for the covered, recessed areas at the cabinet’s base that let you stand closer to the counter more comfortably by making room for your toes.

The Janka Hardness Scale rates wood species according to their hardness levels or density. On the scale, hickory ranks as the most dense hardwood that is common for use in making cabinets. While there are woods that are harder, they're uncommon in cabinetry. Maple, oak, and walnut also rank relatively high on the scale and are excellent for use in cabinetry.

The designs are different enough that a conversion would mean more or less fully replacing cabinets to switch between the two. However, if you really like the frameless look but you have face frame cabinets, you may be able to mimic the style by replacing your cabinet doors with full overlay ones.

In many homes, upper cabinets are installed with a 1- to 2-foot gap between the tops and the ceiling. However, many homeowners extend their cabinets to the ceiling to gain extra storage and a polished, built-in look.

You can stack upper kitchen cabinets, but they may not fit neatly. Because upper kitchen cabinets are typically available in these standard sizes—12, 15, 18, 24, 30, 36, and 42 inches—you can stack various-sized upper cabinets. But, depending on your ceiling height, these standard sizes may not work together. That’s why smaller stacked cabinets are a much more stylish and economical choice.
