Before gluing, sand the area you plan to glue to remove any large debris and to rough it up for better adhesion.

Laminate countertops are great for bringing your kitchen countertop ideas on a budget to life, but they can become damaged and dull after years of use. To make laminate countertops look new again, you can use a laminate refinishing kit to fill in nicks and scratches and polish them to restore their original look. You can also paint laminate countertops to give them a new look.

If you need to make curved cuts on your laminate countertop, get out the jigsaw. A jigsaw with a fine blade will allow you to follow curved traced lines. It is important to cut slowly and to let the jigsaw do most of the work with you acting as a guide. 

First, use the right blade, which we’ve already discussed. However, there are other ways to prevent chipping, such as using painter’s tape to mark the edges. It creates a clear, easy-to-see line.
