ought a Lennox A/C system (through COSTCO) and Mitch Wright, Plumbing, Heating, & Air was the contractor assigned. I delayed posting review to allow time to correct “mistakes”, but they have done nothing. Mitch Wright sent a salesman out who was not on time for the first visit, so a second visit was required. He wasn't on time for the second visit either. He wrote me a quote for 16 & 18 SEER system, but the major systems stated “Model and efficiencies may vary”. I told the salesman I needed a quote with model numbers, and if I pay for a 16 or 18 SEER2 system, I expect to get a 16 or 18 SEER2 system. He provided an updated quote and assured me I would receive the efficiency I ordered. I accepted the offer. I told him I expect model numbers to match on install day. Mitch Wright installed different models of equipment (outdoor A/C unit, furnace, and thermostat). When I informed installers about the error with the outside A/C unit, they claimed it was an upgrade. When I informed the salesman of the error, he told me not to look at the ENERGY GUIDE and that they shouldn’t add those because they don’t mean anything. I told him the model number was wrong, and he brushed me off, telling me to contact someone else. I bought a low-NOx furnace ML180UH090XE48BK, but Mitch Wright decided to install a standard furnace ML180UH090E48BK. No idea the cost difference, but generally, low NOX costs more and is better for air. I am up in the middle of the night because the furnace exhaust through the roof is leaking due to the poor craftsmanship of Mitch Wright Installers. Their sloppy installation is damaging my property! I cleaned up water after discovering a leak to prevent further property damage and placed towels to catch rain that drips through. The furnace has new code flashing. The installers did not properly seal the air handler, and condensation formed at the air leaks. Water leaked all around the air handler and into the furnace. I had to seal the air handler that evening to prevent (further) water damage to the furnace. All the duct connections to the air handler were leaking air and causing condensation as well, requiring me to fix them. Air was leaking at the connection on the inlet side just past the air handler, sending unfiltered air into the blower. The furnace developed a fault code on the same day as installation. This all occurred on Thursday, June 26 2025. Mitch Wright has done nothing to correct their “mistake”. All they did was send this email: “I do apologize for the mishap between EL16KC1-047 and the EL16KC1-048. We are actively looking into the situation to provide a resolution to you and your home. We are currently discussing the differences between the 047 and the 048 model that you received. In the past, Lennox has substituted both of these models out due to product availability. As of right now the response we have received from Lennox is that the 047 model was created to hit different targets, within different market requirements. Our marketing standard is the 048 model. We wanted to contact you before the weekend to assure you that we are working on it. If you have any further questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to call our office or email us back. Thank you for trusting us with this matter.” Don’t trust these people with your home! Look at the Yelp reviews; they offer another perspective of this company.

This company does not know what they are doing. They had plumbers that smelt like weed install our new AC parts and the AC hasn't worked since they installed it. They are literally ignoring our calls and emails now, 3 months later. They sent 3 people to look at it and all say its working fine. They said there is nothing further they can do to fix their non working AC that clearly has a problem because it doesn't get our 250 sq ft room even cool. It'll be 88 degrees in the space and they don't think anything is wrong with the AC they installed. 88 degrees is not air conditioned! I had a different licensed hvac specialist come diagnose the problem. When I told Mitch Wright what the issue was (the coils and compresser they installed are not compatible in sizes) the manager tried sending me "proof" that they are compatible. In his "proof" he sent the wrong model number 2 times in an attempt to confuse me and discredit the person that diagnosed the true issue. After calling both manufacturing company's (for the coil and compresser) they both confirmed the parts are not certified under ahri and the warranties for the products will be void as a result. Mitch Wright refuses to acknowledge their mistakes and take responsibility for installing a unit that does not work. We aren't the only ones this has happened to either from reading other reviews and sharing my experience on Nextdoor. Do not use this company for anything!

The crew arrived on time, covered the floors to prevent getting the carpet and hardwood damaged, removed all of the old equipment, installed the new equipment and had everything finished and cleaned up in a timely manner. All of the old equipment was removed from my property and everything has performed great.

$12,000

I am assisting my 88 year old widow aunt with financial management. In reviewing her checkbook, I learned that she paid Mitch Wright Plumbing almost $12,000 over the past three years for plumbing and HVAC services in her modest, 1,625 square foot house. I'll let you be the judge of whether or not these charges were excessive. They included $2,144 for installing a Koehler white cast iron double bowl kitchen sink, ¾ hp garbage disposal and single handle faucet with pull out sprayer, $258 to replace a programmable thermostat (not wi-fi), $1,502 to replace a 50 gallon electric hot water heater, and $492 to replace a single flush valve in one toilet. We contacted Mr. Wright for an explanation of the charges, but he did not give us much insight and was not responsive to our concerns. Please help your seniors watch their money.

He initially said it was just a small valve. He said that it wouldn't cost that much. He then contacted his boss. He came back and said that the whole assembly had to be replaced and it would cost a lot more. I confronted him about him about the change in price. He said he would fix it the best he can. He fixed it and it is still working.

Upon arrival to our house, I showed the rep (aka: salesman) where the leak was in the yard. He explained to me that there were 2 approaches that could be taken to fix our broken pipe.  Now, keep in mind, he had not even seen what the issue with the pipe was because he didn't dig down a little to investigate.  He told me that they could either 1) replace just the portion of the pipe that was leaking or 2) could replace the entire pipe from the water meter all the way to the house.  Our house is about an acre away from the water meter/source.  He used scare tactics by telling me that if we just replaced the portion of the pipe that was busted that inevitably a leak would spring up elsewhere eventually and that their work would only be warranted for 2 years. He then told me about this "revolutionary" new process that only Mitch Wright has, called "trenchless something or other".  I told him that I would not be making the decisions regarding our plumbing and asked that he quote the job both ways and my husband would decide which way we go.  He continued to talk to me about the differences using the usual salesman pressure tactics. I finally had to walk away because I was busy and he went to his truck to write up the quote. About 10 minutes later, the guy knocks on my door and starts talking AGAIN about the two options. I asked for the quote.  Option 1 was quoted at $2,033.  Option 2 was quoted at $7,276.  Yes, the commas are in the right place!!  Again, he began pressuring me for a decision and again, I told him that I would scan the quote to my husband at work and he would call him back.  The salesman asked if we could call him together, right then. I explained that my husband was most likely at lunch and that he would call him when he is available.  I had to take the paper quote from the rep and proceeded to go inside.  As I was walking away, the rep told me that he would have to charge me a service charge if we did not use his company. I kept walking.

About 15 minutes later and before I had a chance to scan the quote to my husband, my husband calls me to tell me that the salesman had called him....after I had told him that we would review the quote and call him back! The rep was very pushy with my husband who knew the job should only be a few hundred dollars!  My husband basically told him to get lost.

The short of this story is this:  We ended up calling another plumber (Shout out to Olive Branch Plumbing!!!) who came to our house within about 30 minutes and found that we needed about 12" of pipe replaced.  They went to Home Depot and got the supplies they needed and had the job finished up in less than 2 hours and invoiced us for $297.13!!!

Dear Angie's List Members....DO NOT USE MITCH WRIGHT FOR ANYTHING!  What they are trying to do is disgraceful and dishonest. They are trying to take advantage of people by quoting jobs much too high and using scare tactics to get the job!

Additional service of $180 was required in order to accomplish the original goal of proving the unit worked.  HVAC is a difficult business to evaluate service, but this was not the best I've had.

Rep came out and tried to start the gas logs, and it did not stay lit, so he immediately said it needed a part that would cost about $1100.  He then said it would be cheaper to get the logs replaced with new since that would run about $1300.  He said he doesn't do the sales so I would need to speak to their salesman.  He arranged to have the sales person call and he came out a few days later and gave me a quote.
I had an uneasy feeling about what was happening and looking at the cost called another company and asked them about everything this company said.  They said it was rare for the part to go out, so they wanted to come out and see.  They came out and fixed the logs.  My cost was $95!

While he was there, he took a look at our water heater and our duct work. He left brochures on maintenance plans, tankless water heaters and optimizing the circulation of our head system. These are things we expressed interest in learning more about.

Tech---Randy, came out and tried to diagnose the problem.  Came back out once again and indicated the part was not under warranty. Two choices, new part or new system.  We chose new part.  Over three weeks of our calling 331-0431 and asking where we are on the part and was given the "I ordered it, its on its way, will check and call you back, etc.".  Excuses. And I had to keep following up and never heard back from them.  Called today 11/10/14 and Mary said that she would have Randy call me as soon as he came in.  NO CALL back from the office or Randy the tech.   Irony is they keep sending these "THANKS FOR YOUR BUSINESS" coupons for $25 off our next repair.  Maybe they should do the repair and THEN send the coupon.  Would not use them again or recommend them. Pathetic customer service.

Our 3 year old AC unit attached to our 3 year old house wasn't cooling, and most likely needed freon. The agent arrived and checked out the outside unit. After 10 mins, he stated that it doesn't need much freon, but it has a freon leak. He then offered four options to fix the issue.
1. $407 - Add freon only.
2. $676 - Add Freon and maintenance agreement
3. $781 - Add Freon, clean/flush unit and maintenance agreement
4. $1205 - Add Freon, clean/fluch unit and maintenance agreement
He stated we had a freon leak and that in two years (our unit would then be 5 years old) we would need a whole new unit, and it should be replaced. The tech also kept pushing the Mitch Wright maintenance agreement and their financing plan. The maintenance agreement costs $269.00. We then called another company a few days later, who came out and said it needed only freon. For the call and freon it came to $175 after tax. There was no leak, and the unit was in perfect condition. Will never use them again.
