"Customer service at Conway is terrible. Their technicians are very good to great. Conway kept calling me to get my AC service done, but it had already been done several months ago. I asked them to cancel the AC service calls, which they said they did, but the phone calls for AC service kept coming. Finally, one man called last week and said they needed to do heating service. When the technician came today, I asked what he was here for. He said he was told that my AC was not working. Conway is driving me crazy. I need to find a new service provider This survey is also goofy.."

"Complete Clean does an outstanding job. I had my air ducts cleaned by these guys because my allergies were acting up pretty bad. Now I can breathe much better without sneezing every couple minutes. Highly recommend."

"Jamal was there within an hour of calling. He quickly diagnosed the problem, had the part and was able to fix it in about half an hour. Quality work at a very reasonable price. Would highly recommend for AC needs."

Small jobs welcome

"They were very professional. Knowledgeable & patient. They answered all my questions to help me understand the process. They were very polite too. The owner, the employees that did the work and Katie, office manager, all gave me exceptional customer service through out the process. I highly recommend them for not only duct cleaning, but for AC & heating too because they fixed my AC as well. Thanks for the opportunity to share my experience! Sincerely, W.Thomas Collierville, TN"

Air Conditioning questions, answered by experts

The best time of year to purchase or replace an HVAC system, including components like an air conditioner or furnace, is during the off-season—spring and fall. During these periods, HVAC professionals are less busy than in summer and winter, when extreme temperatures create urgent demand. Shopping during the off-season can lead to savings of 10% to 15% on an AC unit and allows you more time to find the best deal and other cost-saving incentives. Typically, air conditioning units go on sale in the fall after demand drops, while furnace prices tend to decrease in the spring.

It depends on the size of the space you’re cooling down. If you’re looking for the most affordable way to cool an entire house over a long period of time, then central air will be more cost-effective. But when it comes to cooling down a couple of rooms or one floor, a window unit may be the cheaper option, with both a lower cost to install and less energy used to run.

If your AC runs constantly, it could be due to a number of things, including a faulty thermostat, incorrect temperature settings, or broken equipment. Alternatively, you might have an airflow problem (for example, blocked vents or leaky ductwork). Either way, an HVAC pro can identify the specific problem and fix it for you.

Many HVAC manufacturers provide warranties that encompass the cost of a new compressor, with durations ranging from 5 to 10 years, depending on the brand. These warranties cover critical components such as the compressor, condenser, connecting tubing, evaporator, and refrigerant charge. Moreover, they often include the necessary labor for replacement or repairs. Keep in mind that premium-brand compressors may offer lifetime warranty options. It's essential to note that these warranties rarely cover labor costs.

The standard HVAC warranty is around five years. Still, many brands offer an extension to 10 years if you register the product within a specific timeframe, typically 60 to 90 days post-purchase or HVAC installation. Over the past decade, warranty periods have substantially increased, shifting from 3-5 years in the 90s to the now-prevalent 10+ year warranties. Both warranty types cover parts failing due to manufacturer defects, incurring no additional costs. Some manufacturers provide extended warranties surpassing the usual 15- to 20-year window, though these often involve extra fees.
