"Excellent, I needed the whole inside of my house painted. Six rooms, two bathrooms, hallway and five closets. Kitchen cabinets were painted inside and out. Whole house trim and baseboards painted as were inside the drawers. The job took four days and looked spectacular! I’m in the process of selling the house. Miguel Painting did excellent work. I would/will recommend him to anyone! Thank you Miguel!"

"Mr. Wilson came out promptly to assess my problem and we scheduled a time for him to come back and do the repairs. He was having eye problems on the day he came and he admits he should have had someone else to do the job. He replaced the board in the shower window but he didn't measure it correctly all the way across the window so there is still a gap which he filled with caulking. In the process he cracked my the marble backdrop, dropped paint in my bathtub, and did not do a good job caulking underneath the window board where the backdrop meets. He left a mess of trash and shoeprints in my bathtub. I called him about the crack in the backdrop and he promised he would find a way to repair or replace if needed. I waited 2 weeks and I had to call him to get a status on when he would repair. He told me he would return my call and its been another week. Still hadn't seen or heard from him. I can't rate the value for money because He didn't charge me. I guess because he didn't do the job correctly, but I still have a cracked backdrop and a caulking mess and paint in my tub. Don't get me wrong Mr. Wilson was a very nice man but ones work speaks volumes. This is the second non-positive experience I've had with HomeAdvisor. I don't think I'll be using their suggestions again."

Painting questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can paint galvanized chain link, but the process is a bit more difficult as it requires additional prep work. Before applying the primer and paint, you must remove the original coating from the metal, which can be time-consuming. If the original coating is not removed, the primer and paint will not bond properly and cause peeling over time.

Wood stain is typically dry to the touch within 6 to 12 hours, but it is not fully cured at this point. You should wait at least 24 hours before applying a second coat or a protective finish. For surfaces like decks, avoid walking on them for at least 24 to 48 hours, and wait even longer before placing furniture. The full curing process can take from 24 hours to one week, depending on the type of stain. Factors like high humidity and cold temperatures can extend drying and curing times, so it's wise to allow for extra time in these conditions.

Yes, you can and should paint or stain pressure-treated wood, as this helps prevent the surface from cracking. However, it is crucial to wait for the wood to dry out completely from the chemical treatment process before applying a finish. If the wood is still wet, the paint will not adhere properly. The drying time can range from weeks to six months. To test if the wood is ready, drip some water onto a board. If the water is absorbed, the wood is dry enough for painting or staining. If the water beads up on the surface, it needs more time to dry. You can build with the wood while it's still wet, but you must wait for it to dry before painting.

Manufacturers use a different process and formula for exterior paint versus interior. The exterior formula has to withstand elements like temperature, UV lighting, moisture, wind, and debris. Interior paint doesn’t need to be as tough, only exposed to dust, scratches, dents, scuff marks, and the like.

Pricing depends on prep work, paint/stain choice, area size, scaffolding needs, and detailed trim inclusions like precision-balanced windowsills.
