"The guys doing a good job. I actually had them come back and do the interior of my garage. Additionally, I needed some items moved and they were willing to assist with that so they did above and beyond."

I’ve been in business for myself since 2001. Ive done complete home restorations, flooring, remodeling and painting. Whether it’s new construction or an older project there’s no job to small or to tall…I do it all.

I have been painting for 25 years. I'm very good at what I'm doing. Painting is my specialty indoors and out. I'm a peoples person. My work been slow for about 2 weeks so I'm in need of something to do.

Painting questions, answered by experts

While often used interchangeably, flat and matte paints are not the same. Flat paint has no gloss and is completely shine-free, while matte has up to 10% resin, giving it a slightly velvety appearance. That small amount of gloss in matte paint gives it a more elegant, modern appearance than flat paint, though flat paint is ideal for hiding imperfections in even the most dented, scratched, and repeatedly repaired surfaces.

The short answer is yes, it’s more expensive. This is because chalk paint is a more complicated blend of materials and is harder and more costly to produce. The average cost per quart is around $35 to $50. Comparing that with regular paint, which runs between $9 and $25 per quart, you can see how chalk paint costs add up. The good news is that you will apply fewer coats.

Wait at least 48 hours before taking a shower in your newly painted bathroom. Even if the paint feels dry to the touch, it needs time to fully cure and resist the high humidity from a hot shower. Keep the bathroom well-ventilated by running an exhaust fan or leaving a window open during the drying time and while showering.

Painting a wall involves multiple steps. First, clean and sand the wall to prepare the surface, then tape off any areas where you don't want paint to go. Next, shake or stir the paint in the can, then pour it into a tray.

Dip a paintbrush into the paint can so that half of the bristles are coated. Use the brush to cut in or make a frame around the edges of the wall. Then, roll the paint roller in the tray, ensuring that it is evenly covered in paint. Roll the paint onto the wall in an "M" or "W" formation, making sure the paint is applied evenly.

Using a paint roller to paint your ceiling will allow you to cover the surface quicker and more evenly than using a brush. You may want to use a brush to cut in at the ceiling seam and around light fixtures, but it’s much faster and easier to use a roller for the bulk of the job.
