  Hired Michael Berg to remodel the lobby of our medical practice. Job included pulling up carpet, re-tiling the floor, painting, putting up blinds, and mounting a flat screen TV. He and his guys completed the entire thing in one weekend. He went out of his way to be available and was a great help with picking out materials. He did an excellent job! When the chairs we ordered arrived a few days later he and his guys came back and put them together for us. No extra charge! We get compliments everyday. His work speaks for itself and as we plan to remodel other areas of the office we will be using him againshow more

  My wife and I bought a retirement home in Ocean Springs that was flooded by Katrina. The home was under 5 feet of water and unoccupied for years. We solicited several quotes and Emmitt Christie's (Just Fix It) was by far the most competitive. We were located in Columbus, Ohio during the duration of the remodeling (May 2013-Sept. 2013). Because we were not familiar with the area or contractors in the Misssissippi Gulf Coast, I was apprehensive about hiring and trusting any company to take care of our investment, especially since we weren't there. However, that all changed with Emmitt. We could tell him what we wanted done, when we want it done and he would give us a very good price for the job. We could trust Emmitt to do the job right, on time and without us being there. Although his price and quality of work was very good, the fact that we could trust him is what makes him very valuable. Some of the work that he performed on our home included: New roof, new wiring, new drywall, some new plumbing, installed kitchen cabinets and counters, bathroom vanitys, designed and installed a new slate walk-in shower, built a deck, installed electrical panel boxes, ceiling lights and fans throughout the home and converted the garage into a den and laundry room. The bottom line is I would highly recommend Emmitt's company, Just Fix It, for any job, big or smallshow more

  I contacted Handyman House Tech in March. I had never dealt with this company or for that fact I had never heard of them. As most people, I was a little weary of hiring a contractor. Let me add, I'm a female (some knowledge of house building) . They were very nice and responded promptly. Shortly after phoning the office they called me to inform that had a handyman available for an estimate. They gave me his name (Ed Berlin) and the color of his vehicle, from the beginning no surprises. The handyman (Ed) they sent was very knowledgeable and presented himself in a very professional manner. Ed came in and I showed him the room I wanted re-done. It was a room that needed a lot of work. I told him what I wanted and I guess he could vision it because he was very open to my description of the work I wanted. When I couldn't decide on something he gave me options to think about. He made some measurement, and was on his way. He came back after the office had figured the estimated. Like I had said before I know a little about housebuilding and had a figured in mind that I would be comfortable with. Well low and behold the estimate was pretty close to what I had in mind. After deciding I would do my own wall texture and painting, he re-did the figures and I hired them. Ed started almost right away. They had an estimate of the materials (I went over on that through my own shopping). Ed worked by him self. I was very impressed with his work ethics. He was very precised with his work. He had next to no waste with his tile cutting. He was almost perfect with his material estimate. There was no surprises. Ed kept his work area clean inside and out. I actually can't say enough nice things about this company and Ed. I would contact them again and I have already recommend them to friends and family. After Ed was finished the office called me for my comments on the work performed. Personally, I don't think you can go wrong calling these guys. They are very customer oriented. A+show more

  After meeting with Trent Sonier and getting the bid for the job I hired him immediately to do the work. In all fairness, I had already seen his work so I was very confident in his abilities. He and his crew show up every morning promptly at 7:30 a.m. and work straight through until about 2:30 until the job is complete. They stripped wallpaper that had been on the walls for 30 years! New paint. New flooring. Completed gutted my kitchen. He even met me at Lowes to select my new kitchen cabinets and counters to make sure that everything was measured and ordered correctly. He was on site to accept delivery of the cabinets. These guys are fast! The job was completed within 2 weeks once the cabinets were delivered. I couldn't be happier, everything looks gorgeous! These guys are all business. They get the job done in a timely manner. You tell them what you want, they make it happen. They clean up daily too! I currently have him working on another project through the VA for a grant to make my fathers home, bedroom and bath handicap accessible. Hire Trent Sonier and his crew.   I want to begin by saying that we are very happy with the results of our home improvements and the work that was done by A-1 Remodeling. I would hire them again without hesitation and highly recommend them. We had a quick response after contacting them. They sent someone to talk with us, do a walk-thru of the house, and discuss our wish list. I already had in my mind what a fair price would be for all of the work I wanted done, and I was upfront with the dollar range that I had in mind. He was prompt in getting us an estimate and it was within my budget. We agreed on when they would begin (it should be noted that we had not yet purchased the house), and they came to work on the date that we agreed upon. We were not living in the area during any of the renovations and once the work began inside the home it was empty. I know that we drove the contractors crazy asking silly questions and having our neighbors come over to check on them, but to their credit they never showed it and answered all questions with patience. I really did appreciate that more than anything as this is our dream home, and for us a great deal of money. We were actually on-site quite a bit and my husband and I both enjoyed our interactions with the crew. If they said they would be there at a certain time, they always were there on time and worked hard the entire time they were at the house. We did ask for assistance unloading some things that were delivered and they always helped with gracious kindness. Probably like many people I changed my mind a few times during this process, and asked for some additional work or ordered different materials. This as always handled with no problems and the estimate was re-worked and presented quickly. I deliberately waited a few months before reviewing this company because I have hired contractors in the past (not this company) whose work did not stand the test of time. Everything that was done by A-1 is still beautiful, works perfectly, and makes me happy every time I look at it. And for me, that is the highest recommendation that I can offer. We did ask for quotes on doing some additional work to the house, and for some reason the quotes offered were extremely high so we decided to either hire someone else or not do the work. I think that the estimates were so high because they would have had to hire someone out side of their regular crew to do the work.
