I do everything involved in a full remodel, including woodworking, flooring, sheetrock, plumbing, electrical, tile, painting, framing, decks siding window replacement. Also I can service pools. I've been doing remodeling about 6 years, but I've been a subcontractor for about 13 years, I was a foreman at S&M Home Improvement in Tennessee for 10 years. I also do landscaping, I was a supervisor at Metro Lawn care for 4 years. I urge that prospective customers insist on best business practices — get a written estimate up front on official letterhead that includes precise details of labor costs and all materials. Bryan Mackey stated that he charges $65 an hour. Be sure to clarify ahead of time whether the written estimate is a flexible ballpark figure or a bottom line guaranteed price for labor. Insist ahead of time on receiving current receipts for all materials and keep track of actual hours worked on the job site."
