"C. Mason Concrete did an awesome job forming, pouring, and finishing my slab. Chris and his crew are very professional, detail-oriented, and ensured the job was done right. I have used 2 other contractors in the past, but I will call C. Mason Concrete from now on."

"My concrete driveway was damaged and leaning on one side and needed to be broke up & replaced. I was looking for a concrete contractor that I could trust to do a good job at a competitive price and found one with Brandon. He did everything we agreed on and more. Brandon is very responsive and takes great pride and joy in doing a good job right the first time. Me and my wife are very pleased with the finished work, his friendliness, and his professionalism. He isn't happy until you're happy and we highly recommend him for any concrete needs."

"The salesman was very nice and on the ball. The trouble was getting the work done. It was very confusing as well, too many different people seemed to be in charge of getting the work done. They made all kinds of appointments with me and they didn't contact me a couple of times when they'd set appts. and did not show up. One of these no-shows was for actually doing the patio! They said they were very busy because they were on Home Advisor and I understood that, but after a month and a half and no patio, I decided to go with someone else."

Concrete Leveling questions, answered by experts

It’s best not to perform mudjacking in the winter unless the ground temperature remains above freezing. Freezing temperatures can cause the slurry to harden too quickly, compromising its strength and longevity. Concrete is also more susceptible to cracking and splitting in cold temperatures, so there’s a higher risk of damaging the slab during the drilling and lifting process in winter.

Mudjacking restores level surfaces, prevents further damage, and is more cost-effective than a full replacement.

Polyjacking and mudjacking can both be effective solutions for sinking concrete, but they have key differences. Polyjacking, which uses expanding polyurethane foam, is often considered a better option because the foam is significantly lighter than the cementitious material used for mudjacking. This reduced weight puts less pressure on the underlying soil and lowers the risk of future sinking. Polyjacking is suitable for any sinking concrete slab, while mudjacking is typically only recommended for non-structural concrete, such as sidewalks, patios, pool decks, and driveways. The primary drawback of polyjacking is its cost, which can be up to four times higher than mudjacking—as much as $25 per square foot compared to a maximum of about $6 per square foot for mudjacking.

Mudjacking is suitable for sidewalks, driveways, patios, and nearly all exterior flat structures. However, it may not suit severely damaged or heavily cracked areas.

Pros often use mudjacking or polyurethane foam injection to level a sunken concrete patio. Both methods lift the slab by filling voids beneath it. After properly compacting the soil beneath it to prevent future settling, the concrete may need to be removed and re-poured for severe sinking.
