"I spent 700 dollars to get a water pipe fixed . I Needed this old pipe and band-aid peice cut off and done right by braizing the pipe. The roto rooter guy did not cut the piece off at first and tried to leave my problem the way he found it . He rigged the pipe after I told him that it wasn't even fixed without braizing the copper pipe . Just rigged it. Then Mike calls me from Roto Rooter to fix there mistakes and never called me back. Below is the pictures of the rusty pipe and band aid Roto Rooter tried to leave on . I WANT MY MONEY BACK. GO TO A REAL PROFESSIONAL IF YOU NEED SERVICE!"

Sewer Cleaning questions, answered by experts

It can take anywhere from half an hour to a few hours to fix a main line clog, depending on the cause and severity of it. The job should not take more than a day to complete. Keep in mind that the main line is not the same as your home’s sewer lines (which connect to the main line and run to your house). If you’ve been using a brick in the tank to reduce the water used to flush the toilet, take it out immediately. Bricks will eventually fall apart and clog your toilet drain. Keeping your toilet lid closed also helps avoid future clogs.

If you don’t have a sewer cleanout, clearing out clogs can be extremely difficult. You would need to try to clear the clog from sink drains, but it can be harder to reach the clog all the way in the drain line. A sewer cleanout makes it much faster and easier for pros to clear clogs from your main sewer line.

In most areas, drain cleaning professionals don’t technically need a license, as they aren’t altering your plumbing system in any way. However, we recommend hiring a drain cleaning professional with a plumbing license and certification. Certified plumbers are more likely to provide professional solutions to drain clogs without damaging your system. They’ll also have the diagnostic tools and experience necessary to remove the clog entirely rather than providing a temporary solution, as a handyperson might.
