"This business knows pools! I have used them multiple times for both a condo and a residential pool. One phone call is all it has ever taken, and whatever the problem they have handled it. So if you want to enjoy your pool and avoid all the headaches, do yourself a favor and give them a call! This is the only pool business I use. I have used others in the past and learned an expensive lesson, not all pool business have the knowledge and experience necessary, calling the wrong one will only make a problem a bigger, more expensive problem."

Small jobs welcome

"We hired them to put in a semi inground pool. Their prices were very reasonable and they were consummate professionals. They went above and beyond what I was expecting. They did a masterful job on the construction of our deck. It is not only functional but beautiful as well. They were easy to work with and considerate of our time. We will be hiring them again to work on our yard drainage."

Warranties offered

"On the positive: Marshalls Plumbing began work the day after putting in the request on Service Magic. They were done in just a few hours. The crew was very professional and were very helpful offering information on future projects. On the negative: The price turned out to be higher than the original quote and we had to landscape around a couple spots that were left exposed. Way more positive than negative... I will hire again."

Pool and Spa Servicing questions, answered by experts

No. In fact, some owners prefer to “summerize” their hot tubs and use them primarily over winter to enjoy the contrast of cold and hot water. It’s possible to keep the tub filled and running year-round, and some pros may even recommend this method compared to the work and risks of a full winterization every year.

However, keeping the hot tub running will require additional resources. You’ll use more power and more chemicals to keep it in good shape. Weigh the pros and cons of your situation before making a decision.

No, you cannot clean your hot tub filters in the dishwasher. While it may seem like a good idea, the dishwasher soap isn’t gentle enough for hot tub filters and can damage them. Gentle cleaning is better when cleaning the hot tub filters and keeping them intact.

Shocking your hot tub means adding extra chemicals to the water. Most spa experts recommend doing this once a week for proper hot tub maintenance, but you can do it more if needed. Shocking has multiple benefits, including preventing the water from becoming murky and it’s essential in removing harmful bacteria from the water.

Whether you can repair a hot tub depends on the severity of the problem and the location. With the right tools and knowledge, you can fix problems like small leaks or switching out a dirty filter. However, electrical and plumbing issues require a licensed professional due to the inherent risk, particularly when mixing water with electricity.

Algae-related green hot tub water is generally safe to use, as algae aren't usually harmful to your health. However, if the conditions in the hot tub are hospitable to algae growth, they may also be hospitable to the growth of other types of microorganisms, including Pseudomonas aeruginosa, bacteria that can cause hot tub rash, or Legionella bacteria, which can cause respiratory illness.
