Customers say: Quality work

"Great to work with. Easy to talk to. The quality of the work is excellent. They work hard with you to give you what you want. The crews work hard. Mike was easy to contact and return to answer any questions or concerns, and worked with us to get it the way we wanted. Great job"

"Before Wambo’s Waterworks showed up our shower/tub wouldn’t drain properly and left us standing in ankle deep water by the time we’re done bathing. Thanks to him we no longer have this issue, water drains as fast as it’s coming in now, and no more filthy my feet upon exiting shower."

"Mr. Ventura gave us a fair price, then explained exactly what needed to be done. He painted our house and a small storage house in the backyard which he also repaired. All the needed wood replacement on our house, pressure washing and cleaning completed as he promised. Professional and great care taken with his work. He is not only informative, but asked questions to make sure we were on the same page! He is courteous, concerned and professional, three qualities that I deeply appreciate, especially these days."

"They did a good job. She had to submit like a photo but my daughter had them work on the central are of the loft. The deal was for one room. She got a lot of good ideal from her and it was worth it for her. They were professional and I did not hear anything negative."

"They are a nice provider. I talked to them on the phone for about 30 minutes and they sent some samples. We were able to get a discount on designer purchases but not useful on designing the space. Once we told them what we wanted, they were able to help purchase from the warehouse and save about $1,500. I think they became too busy with this big deal. You buy a ticket per room and we still actually have a couple left with this provider. After redesigning one room, we kind of ran out of steam and have not designed the other rooms. Overall this is a good service and it's a good concept. Whomever I spoke with, she was really nice. I would recommend this provider. This kind of service seems to be for people with time and knows exactly what they want. They are super helpful with the designer discount from the warehouse. They don't actual design your room which is slight flaw."

Kitchen and Bathroom Remodel questions, answered by experts

Use waterproof or moisture-resistant paint in rooms with excessive humidity. You should also ensure these rooms are properly ventilated by regularly opening windows and turning on fans, especially after someone showers or takes a bath.

Whether walk-in showers are worth it depends on your goals and priorities. For many, walk-in showers are worth the investment due to the increased accessibility, the minimalist aesthetic, and the ease of cleaning. They’re particularly beneficial for households that want low-threshold access for aging in place. However, if you love taking baths and want more privacy and a warmer showering space, a walk-in shower may not be the best bathroom upgrade for you.

The toilet should rest 10, 12, or 14 inches from the back wall. As for other clearances, 15 inches is the minimum distance from the flange to any side wall or nearby fixture, including the shower, tub, and sink. Modern codes also require at least 24 inches of clear space in front of the toilet.

Yes, it could be worth buying and remodeling an old house. You can potentially purchase an older house for a lower price than a newer house. With less of an upfront investment, you can devote more of your budget to the remodeling work. If you’re thinking of remodeling an old house and then reselling it—called house flipping—focus on projects that deliver the best ROI for home improvements.

There are several ways to save money on a bathroom remodel through proper planning and savvy design strategies. To reduce costs, consider the following:

  • Purchase your own materials: Buy your own bathroom fixtures, hardware, and other materials to avoid contractor upcharges and delivery fees.

  • Shop smart for big-ticket items: Save on pricey items like tiles and tubs by shopping sales and at discount stores.

  • Avoid major layout changes: Keep plumbing in its current location. Opt to replace fixtures rather than moving them to avoid significant renovation work.

  • Focus on high-impact, low-cost updates: Make affordable but impactful smaller changes, such as upgrading hardware, installing new lighting, and adding stylish but economical accessories.

  • DIY where possible: Handle easier parts of the remodel yourself, like painting or installing light fixtures, to save on labor costs.

  • Time your remodel strategically: Consider remodeling in the spring, which tends to be a lower-demand time of year and may result in lower costs.
