Small jobs welcome

"They were awesome! We visited their site, and chose our stone one week, by the end of the next week our countertops were installed! We had previous counter tops installed by a big box company, but they did a horrible job. Step by Step was a Godsend! They removed the other countertops and installed the new ones in less than 1 week!! Thank you so much for making our bathroom beautiful! I would l highly recommended them! Very professional and friendly family owned company! You will not be disappointed!!"

Stone Countertops questions, answered by experts

Recycled glass countertops are slightly cheaper than quartz countertops, though it depends on several factors. Recycled glass countertops cost between $65 and $140 per square foot, and quartz countertops cost $50 to $200 per square foot, though most projects come in at $70 to $100 per square foot. The final cost will come down to the quality of the material, local labor prices, and any customizations you require.

Engineered stone is known for its durability, lasting 15 to 20 years or longer. Of course, this range assumes high-quality materials and regular maintenance. After a couple of decades, the stone will start showing its age. Watch for discoloration, fading, stains, and burns, but it’s unlikely that engineered stone will experience structural failure.

Granite is one of the most popular options for countertops, and most homeowners believe that granite countertops are worth the money. Granite is more affordable than marble and quartz, and provides outstanding durability and longevity. Granite countertops are also desirable because they are entirely unique; unlike some other countertop materials, your granite slab won’t be identical to any others. Granite is porous, which means it has the potential to stain if you don’t clean up spills quickly, but the general durability and relatively low cost make it well worth the investment.

Quartz countertops are relatively expensive, but they’re a very popular option because of their durability and attractive design. Some manufacturers also offer lifetime guarantees for their products. Even though they’re expensive, they could wind up being a one-time purchase.

Silicone caulk is the most common adhesive used to attach a vanity top. It’s flexible, water-resistant, and resistant to mold and mildew, which can grow in humid environments like a bathroom. While you can apply caulk without a caulk gun, the application is easier and less messy with a quality caulk gun for a more even application.
