"Fantastic! Installers were professional, on time even after the snow storm. Friendly. I wanted to fix them lunch but...they were only there to install my tub. Worth the investment. I agree with the 5.0 ratings listed on this review."

"I hired Neli over a week period for 3 different appliances, my dryer, washing machine, dishwasher, and even kitchen sink! I had a fantastic experience: 1. I fixed my dryer with Thomas' excellent remote guidance, changing the timer and the switch! Fabulous guidance Thomas, with lots of money saved! I learned a lot in the process. 2. I determined that there was no dishwasher leak and in the process learned how to check for leaks and trouble shoot for some common repair issues. It cost $40.00 but as I had some water on the floor, I was ready to get a new dishwasher. Now, I am confident that it wasn't a leak and caused by putting in the dishes in a funny manner and not a repair issue. I am using the dishwasher now again with no problem. 3. I determined with Thomas' help that the washing machine had a major problem and could have spun out of control into my wall....no question, it was time to get a new washing machine! This was a well spent $40.00--I even got Thomas advice on purchasing a new washing machine and what to look for. 4. I checked the drainage on my kitchen sink and learned how to empty out the "trap" and that most likely, I am okay, but what to swap out if I have continuing issues with slow drainage. In the end, I saved lots of money, gaining and learning valuable experience! Absolutely fabulous service!"

Plumbing questions, answered by experts

Plumbing work in Columbus directly impacts your other household systems. Projects near water heaters or utility chases intersect with natural gas lines, requiring careful inspection. Upgrading drain lines alters your central air conditioning condensate drainage. Additionally, working in crawl spaces disturbs vapor barriers or HVAC ductwork. A licensed professional in MS will identify these conflicts before beginning work to keep your home safe.

Helpful?

Build your MS seasonal plumbing routine around local weather patterns. In November, prepare for sudden freezes by insulating exposed pipes and testing your main water shutoff valve. Spring requires checking crawl spaces for moisture intrusion after heavy storms. During the hot Columbus summer, monitor your utility bill for unexpected spikes and inspect washing machine hoses. Finally, use fall to disconnect garden hoses and schedule an annual water heater inspection.

Helpful?

Start your plumbing maintenance by identifying your water source and locating your main shutoff valve. Older Columbus homes feature shutoffs in non-obvious locations like crawl spaces. Next, inspect your crawl space for past leaks or corroded cast iron drain lines. Because MS water contains moderate mineral levels, flush all faucet aerators and schedule a thorough water heater assessment to remove sediment buildup and ensure proper function.

Helpful?

You must make several key decisions before starting plumbing work in Columbus. First, determine if your property uses a private well or municipal water, and whether you connect to a city sewer or private septic system. You are also responsible for pulling necessary local permits. Finally, verify that your chosen professional holds a valid MS state license to protect your home and ensure safe, compliant work.

Helpful?

Keep pipe insulation wrap easily accessible to respond quickly to sudden MS freeze advisories. You should also purchase a meter key to operate your outdoor water meter box lid during emergencies. For routine plumbing tasks in Columbus, keep basic drain clearing supplies on hand to address minor blockages. Finally, store a standard garden hose nearby to safely flush sediment from your water heater drain valve every year.
