I am a owner/operator business. Although my passion is custom tile showers there is a very wide range of services i provide. Such as all types of: flooring, roofing, exterior siding, water drainage, plumbing, landscaping, pool maintenance, hedge triming, fencing, concrete, stone, electrical, dirt work, operate any heavy equipment, carpentry, weilding. I have been in construction work since i was a child, my grandfather was a home builder and taught me most everything i know. I am a perfectionist, i cant sleep at night knowing i cut a corner earlier that day. With that said, good work doesnt come cheap, but at the end of the job my main concern is the customers overall satisfaction!

Concrete Finishing questions, answered by experts

Professionals clean surfaces, apply primers for smooth adhesion, and coat with specialized materials that promise durability.

You can paint concrete with paint rollers. In fact, using paint rollers is considered one of the easiest ways to evenly apply paint on concrete. A paint roller with a 1/2- to 3/4-inch-thick nap—which is basically a fabric paint roller cover—is best for painting concrete. The thicker the nap, the more paint it can hold to fill those pesky concrete cracks and crevices.

Mix the resurfacer into a sticky mixture. The consistency should look like mashed potatoes. Use a squeegee to push the resurfacer across the pitted area and smoothen the surface with a cement trowel flush. Make sure you protect any expansion joints with a weather strip. Alternatively, cut out any resurfacer that touched the joint once the mixture begins to harden.

Yes, cinder blocks must be primed before painting. Without primer, your paint won't stick to the surface of the blocks. You should use a bonding and filling primer which fills all of the small pores of your blocks. Once the primer dries, you'll have a smoother surface to work with and your paint will stick easily to the blocks.

The curing time for troweled concrete depends on different factors. The type of concrete mix used in the project can impact the time it takes for the concrete to cure, and climate conditions such as moisture and humidity can as well. It can take several days to a few weeks for concrete to fully cure, depending on the concrete mix.
