Small jobs welcome

"Triple C removed 3 very large trees for me. I can’t recommend them highly enough and couldn’t be more pleased. They offered a competitive estimate, were professional, hard working, friendly, competent, and patient with my questions. Clean up was meticulous! Their work was fascinating to watch, especially for my seven-year-old grandson, who kept his nose pressed to the window. :) Thank you, Triple C!"

"EXTREMELY PLEASED! I highly recommend Rex, he did a super great job powerwashing the driveway, sidewalk, bricks around the mailbox and vinyl siding on the house. All for the reasonable price of $350.00! Everything looks brand new and I kept his business card so I can suggest Rex to my friends and neighbors. He also does handyman work as well as lawn service. I could not be more pleased with the job he did for me. I highly recommend him, you will not be sorry so give him a call! Janet Nixa, Missouri"

"Clover lawn called me within 24 hours of the request. They communicated regularly with me, gave me a very reasonable estimate and stayed in touch. The job was completed above and beyond expectations, they even did a final mow after the leaves were removed - even though it wasn't part of the original estimate, without an additional charge. The yard, flower beds and driveway were immaculate. Will use again, they are excellent and very nice people."

Snow Removal questions, answered by experts

The best way to save money on snow removal is to sign up for a seasonal contract that guarantees service throughout the entire winter. Most companies charge between $200 and $600 for this service, and they’ll often give you a break on the price if you extend annually. Of course, savings will depend on your area. If you live in a moderate climate where snowfall may or may not occur, you could pay more than you need during a light snow year. Still, it’s usually a safe bet to sign a seasonal contract.

You can quickly melt snow on your driveway by adding rock salt, hot water, de-icer, and other melting products. These snow removal methods will quickly melt any snow on slippery ice from your driveway, making it safer to maneuver. For a more permanent solution, consider using melting mats or installing a heated driveway system.

Rubbing alcohol may also remove ice from your driveway in a pinch. It has a lower freezing point than water, which expedites the unfreezing process. Pour 70 percent isopropyl alcohol into a quart or half-gallon spray bottle and spray it on your driveway. You do not have to dilute it with water.

In most municipalities, snow removal is compulsory in public spaces, including the sidewalk in front of your house, so you need to remove snow there. You could face fines for failure to clear your sidewalk in a timely manner—usually within 24 hours of the snowfall stopping. More importantly, your sidewalk needs to be safe for pedestrians to use, and you could face legal issues if someone slips on your sidewalk because you failed to clear it. Sidewalk removal services might seem expensive, but they’re well worth it to avoid these issues.

Yes, many providers offer emergency services during severe weather. Confirm availability with your contractor.
