"I am so pleased with my carpets, They did a GREAT job. My carper is 16 years old, when they finished with it it looks new. Im haveing a lot of compleats on them. I had pet stains ,I had just thought they would never come out. But they took them out.I liked their, way of cleaning, rather than steam clean. Thank them very much. Bonnie B."

"I was disappointed. It seemed like a switched deal. You advertised $49.99 as the price for air ducts and everything and when he came out here, he quoted me the price of over $200. He said that it was just vents and he wanted to do everything so I was just disappointed with him. I bargained with him and said that I did not want all the returns so I ended up paying $150 on top of the $50 that I had already paid. If I wanted both the returns it was going to be $100 above that.He knew that it was an Angie's List big deal purchase and he still charged me more than what the big deal was for. I know that he did pull dust out of the air duct and they were cleaned. He arrived on time, he was a young kid, obviously he wasn't the owner of the business or anything like that.I think that if that fee that is advertised on the Angie's List website isn't the correct fee, that needs to be disclosed upfront. The price wasn't unreasonable. It was regular if I had just called somebody out of the blue, but when you gave me that big deal price, I assumed that was it. I would not use this provider again in the future."

"We could not have picked a worse day to move!!! It was raining/freezing rain and snow all mixed into a dreary friday the 13th!!
AAMC was there on time in this horrid weather to move us without any hesitation whatsoever. They were very pleasant to deal with, they went above and beyond what we expected them to do and that was a pleasant surprise!!! While they did fall a little short on moving pads to cover up our furniture with they improvised with blankets we provided to them and NOT ONE THING was damaged!!! Great job guys! We would definitely recommend them to anybody.

Carpet Installation questions, answered by experts

Installing carpet padding is mostly a matter of measuring the room and cutting the carpet pad to size with a utility knife. You can save some money on carpet installation costs by doing it yourself. Before installing the carpet padding, you should install the tack strips around the room’s perimeter and prepare the subfloor by cleaning and making any necessary repairs. Then, unroll the carpet pad and cut sections as needed. Staple the carpet pad to the subfloor along the edges, leaving the tack strips exposed.

If the stairs are already covered in carpet, you will need to remove the old carpet and possibly the carpet pad. Any damage to the stairs like cracks, loose boards, or creaky treads may also need to be repaired. You may also want to sand and refinish or paint wood stairs before installing a carpet runner.

If you have a concrete subfloor, you must secure the carpet padding with adhesive or glue. However, if you have a wooden subfloor, use staples instead. Removing a glued-down carpet can be difficult and time-consuming, so it’s best to avoid glue when possible.

Deciding whether to clean or replace your carpet depends on its condition and age. If cleaning no longer resolves issues, it's time to consider a replacement. Key signs that you need to replace your carpet include:

  • Stains that are impossible to remove.

  • A persistent smell that lingers even after cleaning.

  • An increase in allergy symptoms.

  • The age of the carpet. Most manufacturers state that carpets should last about 10 years with proper care.

When cleaning is no longer effective, you should replace the carpet with a new one or consider other flooring options like vinyl or laminate.

You can expect your carpet protection to last about six months to two years. It will last longer in low-traffic areas (compared to busy areas, where your carpet experiences more wear and tear). Once the protector wears off, you’ll need to call your carpet contractor to reapply the stain protection treatment and revive your carpet
