He mows the yard as I ask and weed eats and edges very well. He mows the yard a different direction every time he mows and makes sure all the grass clippings are blown off of the concrete and rock gardens. Weather permitting heâ s always there the day he says he will be.

It's best to wait until temperatures are steady, as mulching too early in the spring can slow down the soil's warming process and hinder plant growth. Fall mulching is also beneficial, as it insulates the soil and helps regulate its temperature when the first frosts arrive.

The soil around your foundation should slope down and away from your home, not toward it. If the grading drops the farther you are from your home, you can enhance the slope by removing more soil. Mark off a few feet from your house and dig up some of this soil. Regrading around your fountain should encourage water to flow away from your home and not collect or “pond.”
