"Great over-all experience with Fence and Deck Depot from the initial estimate to fence installation. Salesman was very knowledge about their fence products and did not pressure to buy. Office staff kept us well informed about the fence installation scheduling. The crew did a excellent job installing the fence and before they left washed down the vinyl fence and completely cleaned up the yard. A few weeks after the install we noticed one gate needed tweaking. They came the very next day and made the adjustment. The quality of their vinyl fence material is well above any other company we received bids from. We would highly recommend this company."

"D Amaya did a fantastic job of replacing my old fence. Very professional and careful working around my flower garden. Cleanup was immaculate. It took them 6 hours to remove old fence and posts and install about 100’ of new fencing. Highly recommend them for fence replacement. I’m very pleased with the finished product"

"Dan and his crew did a fabulous job on our new fence that had been torn down by the march 14,2025 storm. Only one side was replaced. Left us with funds for power washing the deck, vinyl siding and cleaning and mowing of our backyard! We are very pleased and can hardly wait for the deck stain to be done."

"Coorley and his team did an amazing job clearing all the weeds, debris, and poison ivy from our 7,000 foot double lot! They worked quickly, efficiently (completed job in about 2 days with 3-4 people working), and made everything look immaculate. We will be hiring them again for annual Spring/Fall cleanups and also to install a privacy fence around our backyard. Thank you!!!!"

Fencing questions, answered by experts

In St Louis, leaning fence posts, rust on metal panels, or sagging gates can signal deeper issues like shifting soil or poor drainage. Cracks in concrete footings, water pooling near the fence, or excessive plant growth along the fence line may point to structural weaknesses. Addressing these early is crucial, as Missouri’s freeze-thaw cycles and humidity can quickly turn minor fence repair needs into major problems.

Helpful?

In St Louis, fencing projects can be handled by dedicated fence contractors, landscaping companies, custom builders, or general home improvement firms. Some specialize in traditional St Louis styles like ornamental iron, while others focus on privacy or decorative wood fencing. Look for contractors with extensive local experience, positive references, and a reputation for quality craftsmanship to ensure your fencing project meets your needs and local standards.

Helpful?

During a fencing project in St Louis, contractors closely evaluate soil type—especially the region’s clay, which can affect fence stability—and drainage patterns to prevent water damage. They’ll verify property lines, inspect for underground utilities, and assess slopes or uneven ground. Mature trees, landscaping, and proximity to driveways or walkways are also considered to ensure the fence installation is both secure and visually appealing.

Helpful?

When planning fencing projects in St Louis, consider the region’s clay-rich soil, which impacts post stability and drainage. Local weather, including heavy summer storms and icy winters, can affect material longevity. Be mindful of historic neighborhood trends, such as wrought iron fencing, and check for unique local flora like honeysuckle that may grow along fences. Always verify property lines and review neighborhood association rules before starting your project.

Helpful?

Most fencing projects in St Louis take between three and eight weeks from planning to completion, depending on size and complexity. Permit approval, unpredictable Midwest weather, and material delivery times can affect your schedule. Starting fencing projects in spring or fall helps avoid summer heat and winter delays, while coordinating with local contractors familiar with St Louis conditions can keep your project on track.
