"friendly courteous and professional representative . did a good job in minimal time. price seemed a little high considering I had my own ceiling fan and light fixture, all unwrapped and ready to go..however to be fair its been a while since I've had this type work done so maybe normal price for the times . will definitely hire again."

"I liked the process. It was smooth and I knew what to expect. We had a ceiling fan installed on our deck and a light fixture installed in a shop bathroom. The remote was missing from the fan I purchased. Long ordeal, but Hunter, the installer, was professional, helpful and stayed with it until the fan was working. He was outstanding. It's Electric is responsive and does a good job."

Bathroom Fan Installation FAQs, answered by experts

Your blower motor may make a loud sound if the bearings overheat or wear down as your system ages. You may also hear loud noises coming from your blower if it’s struggling to pull in air due to dirty or damaged ducts, closed or blocked vents, or a dirty air filter. Typically, this causes a loud whistling sound.

As a general rule of thumb, clean your fans whenever you tidy up the home. Fans benefit greatly from a light weekly cleaning and a deep cleaning at the start of each season. If it’s been a while since you touched up the fans with oscillating blades, start with the deep cleaning before moving on to the lighter touch-ups. If you’re unsure when to clean fans and other parts of the home, learn how often you should clean your home.

Solar attic fans work in winter, but they serve a different purpose than they do in summer. During the colder months of the year, these fans improve air circulation within your attic, which helps remove condensation and moisture to prevent mold growth and protect your insulation and the structure of your home.

If you think your fan needs to be oiled, the first thing that you have to do is cut the power to the fan. The best and safest way to do this is by flipping the circuit breaker that leads to that room.  Depending on the model of your fan, you may need to remove a cover. Look for a hole labeled oil. If there isn't one, check the manual or look for schematics online. Once located, use the recommended lubricant or spray.

Identifying the source of noises is your first step to soundproofing a room without overspending. Generally, sound comes from inside or outside of the house. Inside noises include creaking floors, living noises like TVs in the living room, cooking sounds, or kids being kids. External noises generally include incremental weather, disturbing neighbors, and street traffic. Inside noises require you to soundproof floors, ceilings, and doors, whereas outside noises may require you to soundproof your attic, windows, and walls facing the streets.
