"Gentleman who owns Solarize was professional and courteous. He communicated well with the manufacturer and convinced them that a replacement inverter was needed based on the data he saw and the manufacturer had seen. It's what we were hoping for."

"Mr Ivanovich was very quick to reply back and worked **** ** fixing the problem. He was very prompt to get to the house. It was even a Sunday! The house still had a second episode where it was having an issue and he made it priority to get back to the house and fix the problem at no additional charge. We are very pleased with his work and will tell anyone who needs an electrician to give him a call. We will also use his services again if we have any electrical problems."

Electrical questions, answered by experts

Most ceiling light fixtures only have a black, white, and green wire, but in some cases, you’ll also find a red wire in the box. This is a second hot wire, like the black wire, and is included for ceiling light kits that have a fan.

You can tell if a breaker is GFCI by looking for a red or yellow test and reset button that you can press in and out. You’ll know if an outlet is GFCI if the red reset button is located in between the two pronged sections.

Many wire nuts can accommodate three wires of various gauges; you should check the packaging of the nut to confirm you are buying the correct size. In addition, there are screw terminals that accommodate various numbers of wires; these might also be called “terminal blocks,” and exist to connect multiple wires.

Durations range from an hour for simple jobs to full workdays for significant upgrades.

To avoid drilling into wire, you will need to trace your home's wiring using a stud finder, wire detector, circuit tracer, or voltage finder. Since locating wires in your home can be difficult for some homeowners, hire a professional electrician with the experience and knowledge needed to safely handle electrical systems before drilling into any walls in your home.
