"We have some trees in our backyard that we thought was a part of our property but it turns out it was a part of the churches property behind our house. One of the trees fell after a storm, and the church asked for our assistance to find a good tree service. We called Fortec and they came out and gave an exceptional bid. The church ended up hiring Fortec so they came out to begin work. First, they told us they own their equipment, but they actually rent. They then say they have their own crew, but it turns out they actually hire people off craigslist to complete projects for them. They say they start at 8am, but they wouldn't show up until about 9:30, and actually start work at 10am. Originally this job was supposed to take 2 days, it ended up taking a week. When they cut the trees, they ended up damaging the churches parking lot. Instead of cutting the tree in sections and letting it come down safely, they cut the tree down in one whole piece, which put a huge hole in the churches parking lot. The guy who runs Fortec, Steve, did not at the time tell the church he damaged the parking lot. instead he tried to repair it without anyone noticing with very cheap asphalt. He did not even tell the church he did this, they found out on their own. They tried to tell him the patch job he did was insufficient, but he refused to repair what he did. He told us he was going to come back on the 28th of September to finish, but to this day he hasn't returned. I tried to contact him on the 30th, and he told me he was not coming back because the church was refusing to pay him. He said they wont pay him because of the hole in the parking lot, but the originally tree service wasn't even finished. He is refusing to come back to finish the work. I would not recommend hiring this company, he is not trustworthy at all."

I have a wide variety of services. Everything from landscaping, to cleaning out your gutters. No job is too small. I like to save in door construction for the winter season, I'm able to offer better prices. I offer free estimates, on the first estimate/bid. I ask for a material cost deposit, rest is paid at the complition of the job. I have lived in columbia my whole life and have no plans of ever leaving. My goal with my company is to help improve your houses appearance and over all helping the appearance of our community. With the economy the way it has been, I feel it is better to save a person some money and get a referral than it is to make an extra dollar. Most of my clients have come from word of mouth. I find it is the best advertising. Also I have started a special discount for our "Home Town Heros". This includes up to 40% off for our police officers, firefighters, teachers, and of course our Service men and women. I look forward to seeing what I can do for you and your home. No one likes running out of materials during a project, so calculating the right amount of gravel needed for your driveway is an absolute must. Multiply your driveway’s length by width by the depth of the gravel (in feet). For gravel depth, convert to a decimal (i.e., 4 inches is 0.33 feet). This will give you the cubic feet of material that you need. 

If you’re looking for cubic yards, divide that above number by 27.

Artificial turf usually requires some sort of base. If you’re installing the grass over soil, you’ll want to add a weed barrier (weeds can damage your fake grass) and an artificial grass sub-base .
