Step 1. Removed old porch (18?6? x 5?0?) which was falling away from the sides of house and had broken corners due to the fill settling over the years. Discovered 18" - 24" gaps underneath when removed and only one piece of re-bar held the porch in place to the house at one interior corner.
Step 2. Excavated hardscape area and removed designated old landscape plants.
Step 3. Created new hardscape patio (18?6?x16?0?) plus steps to three different access points. Added entry stoop to front door to prevent potential falls as requested. Created steps for accessing play area in the yard for our grandchildren to enjoy. Created steps with downcast lighting to access front sidewalk. Added a 12-stone permanent bench. Used landscape blocks, 1" rock base, sand base, tumbled stone pavers, and finished with two applications of polymeric joint sand. Used landscape glue in places where it is appropriate to help hold material together.
Step 4. Removed old stone steps to driveway and healed in living plants for transplanting later.
Step 5. Excavated and created 12 steps with low voltage lighting for stairway to driveway. Construction materials included Red Cedar treated pine timbers, black ground cloth, sand base, flagstones and rainbow rock fill.
Step 6. Relocated living plants. Added new fill dirt and removed all construction debris from site. Seeded and strawed fill areas.
Scope of work completed on February 26, 2016.

"The fence in question was a small part of the overall job. It was built to hide the air conditioning unit and compost bin and was on a steep grade. In order to be cost effective and use the same length of boards we built the fence so that it stepped up consistently with the grade. We thought this was acceptable to the customer at the time. The stone steps, stone wall, tie boxes and tie steps with stone inserts which constituted 90% of the job were perfectly level and the pictures we used of this job on our facebook page and website got us several other jobs. https://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=796500043748455&id=202872253111240 www.mvlservices.com We do not understand what the customer means when he says work was left unfinished except that we had to come back to add topsoil and compost to the tie boxes because the job was completed in December and that material was not available at that time. When we completed this task the customer asked for a proposal to do more tie work which makes this review even that much more surprising. As for the pieces left from demolition that were not hauled away we had saved some stones that are weathered fieldstone that the customer was going to use at a later date. We would have gladly hauled them away had we been asked to. We hope that Angie's List members will look at our past high scores for quality and professionalism the past several years, especially with receiving the Super Service Award in 2014 and take the content of this review for what it's worth. https://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=796500043748455&id=202872253111240"
