"My husband and I did our research before contacting companies to provide quotes for us and this was one that had great reviews. Well earned! Clearly quality of work is everything, and I can tell you the end result is impressive, but what stands out are how well everyone communicated with us. From the initial contact with the sales person we both agreed we felt good going with them. He spent about 45 minutes going through and around the house taking pictures, measurements and explaining what he saw and what it meant. With such a costly endeavor, it was important that we felt everything was clear up front. The other companies who provided quotes did not do that at all! Communication remained excellent leading up to work starting. Then Clint walked through the process before he started, explaining first to my husband and then to me since I wasn't there initially. That remained the case through out the 3 days it took to complete the project. Clint, Jackson and Austin worked quickly and efficiently. They were kind and friendly and even rescued a couple of our son's hot wheels and gave me a hand over the trench when I forgot my garage door opener. These guys and this company were a pleasure to work with and I highly reccomend going with them."

"I first gave Southern Grace an "A" grade, but since then I have developed a leak, and have tried contacting them by email, phone, and text probably 20 times, and they have not gotten back to me.  Obviously once they are paid, they want nothing further to do with you!

"Mr. Ferrell first connected his computer to my computer via internet and worked for quite a few hours trying to determine what exactly was wrong. The next day he continued working from his computer for several hours. He determined he would have to have my desktop tower to complete the repair. He and my son met in Huntsville to exchange the tower. He then cleaned up a lot of what was wrong and reloaded Windows 10. He deleted the D: drive which had way too much memory allotted to it. The tower was returned and I plugged it all back together and it is working better than it did when I first purchased it. I would use him again and I recommend him highly to anyone needing computer updating and/or repair. His work is warrantied and he is very personable, knowledgeable, and helpful."

"They've done good work. The quality is really good. Once they started the work it was done quickly, about two days. Rock solid and perfect clean up. Good technicians. They know exactly what they are doing. They give you a discount if you put a sign in your yard, the contract is put a sign up for a week a few times a year. They seemed to forgot to come get the sign a few times.

Window Door Contractors questions, answered by experts

While sometimes used interchangeably, screen doors and storm doors have key differences. Screen doors are simple structures, typically composed of just a frame and a screen, designed to keep out bugs while allowing air circulation. In contrast, storm doors are heavier and more complex, built to protect your home's main entry door from weather and intruders. They usually feature an aluminum frame with interchangeable tempered glass and screen panels, allowing you to switch between ventilation and insulation. A storm door offers more protection and versatility but generally costs more than a basic screen door.

Solar screens are low-maintenance but benefit from occasional cleaning with mild soap and water. Avoid using harsh chemicals or pressure washing, as these can damage the mesh. Inspect screens annually for tears or loose frames to maintain performance. In dusty or coastal areas, more frequent cleaning may be necessary to prevent buildup.

On average, it cost $2,900 to rescreen a patio, porch, or sunroom, with homeowners paying anywhere from $800 to $5,200. The cost to rescreen a porch, patio, or sunroom enclosure depends on the size of the enclosure, the extent of the damage, and the materials used to replace existing screens.

The screen material you choose depends on your needs. Here are some differences to consider:

  • Fiberglass is the least expensive but needs replacing more often.

  • Aluminum suits almost any job and doesn’t stretch as easily as fiberglass.

  • Pet-resistant screens are more expensive than fiberglass or aluminum, but they’re also wind and weather-resistant.

  • Metal screens, like stainless steel, are the most expensive material for rescreening your porch or sunroom. However, they last for years and are golf ball-resistant.

A screened-in porch requires maintenance to keep the screens clean and in good shape, and you may have to do some screen repair or replacement from time to time. A screen porch isn’t an all-season porch, so the weather can get in, including wind and rain.
