"They were true professionals. Came when they said they would, offered a competitive quote, and came back very quickly to complete the job. Quality of work was excellent--we couldn't have been more pleased."

"I am very grateful to Aaron and his company Kitchen Concepts for their very professional and excellent work reinstalling a countertop that had been installed incorrectly several years ago and continued to deteriorate. The company was efficient and helpful in explaining how they would correct the issue. Then, they did just that and it looks wonderful."

"Very well, This is the second project we have used Ted and he has not disappointed. He and his helper showed up on time, ready to work. All of the projects were completed on time and to our wishes. We would be glad to work with him again. We gladly plan to use him again and are glad to recommend him."

"Joshua was over-the-top from the first phone call! Very professional, knowledgeable, customer-oriented, and amazingly enthusiastic about our project (which involved a leaking roof, damaged ceiling, damaged flooring, poor water pressure, the list goes on and on!). As young, unexperienced rental owners living 3 hours away, we could've easily been taken advantage of. Instead, we found an intuitive contractor who quite simply blew our highest expectations out of the water!! He quoted a ridiculously reasonable price and stuck with that price, even when the job involved more than expected. I am limited by length...HIRE SUPERIOR SERVICE USA!!!"

"I was contacted the day after making my posting. They were very helpful answering all my queries without pressure to "buy," and demonstrated a strong grasp of their profession as we discussed the work I wanted done - countertop removal and installation, plumbing, and carpentery. The total price was very affordable and highly competitive. The countertops were installed today and they are PERFECT -- beautiful workmanship. I couldn't be happier and it's a pleasure to give them my highest recommendation."

Countertops and Backsplashes questions, answered by experts

Butcher block countertops are easy to clean. You can use basic household cleaning materials like soap and water. You can even use vinegar or lemon juice and salt. There aren’t many special precautions like other materials. For example, soap tends to streak stainless steel while acid-based cleaners can wear down quartz.

Caesarstone® offers both quartz and porcelain counters, which are types of engineered stone countertops. Generally, you can expect to pay $50 to $200 per square foot for quartz countertops. If you decide to go with Caesarstone® quartz counters, then you’ll pay $75 to $125 per square foot, which is in the mid-range of what most quartz manufacturers charge.

Additionally, Caesarstone® is typically less expensive than quartzite, which is a natural quartz countertop that costs $80 to $220 per square foot. Depending on the Caesarstone® countertop you choose, you may spend significantly more on quartzite counters.

There are several mistakes you should avoid when using butcher block countertops. Don't place hot pots or pans directly on the surface, as this can crack the wood and cause permanent damage. Avoid leaving wet items sitting on the surface, and wipe up liquids as soon as possible to avoid stains.

Concrete countertops require regular upkeep to maintain their appearance and durability, and are generally considered harder to maintain than other materials. For daily cleaning, use a mild, pH-neutral cleaner and avoid harsh, acidic products that can damage the sealant. It is crucial to wipe up spills immediately, especially from acidic substances, as concrete stains easily. To protect against stains and moisture, the countertops must be resealed periodically—at least once a year, if not more frequently. Additionally, use a cutting board to avoid scratching the surface. Be aware that concrete is also prone to cracking over time, which may require repairs.

Yes, a 12-inch countertop overhang will need support to keep it stable. The exact type of support depends on your countertop thickness and material. Thicker, heavier countertops need extra support, like a corbel or a post, to keep them from sagging or toppling over.
