"They did a n awesome job and were very professional. The property was completely cleaned up and looked amazing. The price was very reasonable. He removed 4 large oak trees and cut the wood into firewood for me. I would recommend this company for tree removal."

"Mack knows his business. Trimmed a way-too-tall Callery Pear tree. He scoped out the tree and gave his opinion on the best way to trim in order to extend the life of the tree. He asked how we wanted it trimmed and took our input throughout the trimming process. Did a great job on clean up too. On-time, polite and professional. Would absolutely recommend!!"

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

While it’s best to have access to large, healthy, strong trees in a safe position, treehouse living is still possible without them. Contractors can fit tree posts to build the structure onto or use posts as additional support alongside the trees themselves. If you’re in doubt about the suitability of the trees on your land, consult with a local treehouse builder before you start the project.

Trimming a tree can take anywhere from just two hours to a full day, depending on the age of the tree, the number of trees, and the species. Young trees are generally easier to trim, as their branches are often thinner in diameter and easier to reach compared to mature trees. They also tend to be healthier. If you haven’t trimmed your trees before or it’s been a while, the process could take even longer.

In most cases, you should not use a pruning seal on trees after trimming. Applying a sealant can interfere with the tree's natural healing process, and it does not guarantee protection from pathogens. Instead of sealing the cut, the best practice is to support the tree's natural recovery by providing it with plenty of water and a dormant-style fertilizer. However, there are exceptions. Pruning seals may be recommended for very vulnerable species, like elm trees, in areas where dangerous diseases such as Dutch elm disease are prevalent. In these specific situations, the protection offered by a sealant can outweigh its downsides. For advice tailored to your situation, especially after cutting large branches, it is best to consult a local tree trimming professional.

DIY is risky and not recommended for large trees; professional services ensure safe removal and proper disposal.

The average lifespan of an oak tree is 100 to 300 years, so long as it isn’t impacted by diseases like sudden oak death. Some species will last shorter or longer, depending on where you live.
