I made my request extremely clear: I needed a dead mouse REMOVED from inside my house. Nothing complicated. Nothing unclear. Just do the job I called for. What I got instead was someone walking around the OUTSIDE of my home for about 10 minutes, doing absolutely NOTHING related to the issue, fixing NOTHING, identifying NOTHING, and then charging me $199 for work I never asked for and that provided ZERO value. The dead mouse is still inside untouched because they never even bothered to look. This was NOT a misunderstanding. He did the work but did not remove all of the clippings, and evidently, he used his mower to remove some of the clippings, which resulted in several bald spots in my yard. He offered to come seed the spots and remove the clippings, but...he has gone silent now that I have paid him. I GET IT!!! Trust is earned!"

  • Tie a fishing line from one end of the deck post to the other. Birds won’t be able to see the line across the railing, so they can’t land on it.  

  • Hang wind chimes close by, which may scare birds away. 

  • Apply a bird gel repellent to the railings, which contains smells that birds generally don’t like. Or, similarly, you can apply citronella or lemon oil around the railings, since birds don’t like strong smells.

While there’s always a possibility that pests will appear in and around a natural swimming pool—much like regular swimming pools—they largely deter pests due to their natural filtration system, which keeps things clean and the water constantly moving.

The nesting period can last up to 10 weeks, and some species will continue to nest four to five times per year.
