Family owned & operated, we perform all levels of building and remodeling. A Kansas City remodeling company.

"The initial contract was signed on January 2, 2017 and the contract stated the projects would start on January 9, 2017 and take approximately six weeks. There were a few change orders issued during the process, but in the end after approximately 16 weeks and the initial contract and change orders were paid in full, none of the projects were near completion and our house has been a mess for months. We asked Kris Kohrs, the owner of Precision, what needed to be done to wrap things up. He said he was sending out another company to bid out all remaining tile work, which he did and led us to believe they would be coming out on late April. We called that company a week later to confirm their arrival time and they stated they had never been hired and were not coming to our house. Around this same time, we received an invoice from the countertop supplier for bathroom countertops which had not been paid by Precision even though we had paid Precision for the countertops. We knew we had been scammed when we received a call from the shower door company regarding delivery and we suggested they check with the contractor regarding planned delivery. They responded that they understood we had parted ways with Kris. This was news to us, as we were not told this and our house was left in shambles. We've tried to get bids for what it will cost to complete the projects, but most contractors will not touch it because of shoddy work performed by Precision. We have learned that the entire shower will need to be torn out and redone from scratch because it was not done properly and could cause leaks, additional damage, mold, etc. Kris had his guys put tile on our 20' tall wall for the fireplace and not only does it look bad, it wasn't tied in, therefore it's a hazardous area in our home. At the end of the day, we are out a lot of time and money and have a house that is torn apart. We hope that Precision Home Concepts will be prevented from scamming anyone else in the future in the KC area. Kris Korhs was paid over $39,000 and we paid another $9,000 in tile etc only for Kris to mess up everything he touched and left us high and dry with our home in this state. The photos show exactly how Precision Home Concepts left our home as they ran off with our money."

Electrical questions, answered by experts

As long as your generator is used as recommended by the manufacturer, it’s safe to use for auxiliary power. Make sure that fuel powered generators are used outdoors and that the fumes dissipate away from your home. A professional generator installer will ensure your generator’s placement and set-up meets safety standards when installing or repairing your back-up power source.

A sudden tiny spark is normal when first plugging in an appliance. However, if your plug regularly sparks, has other concerning problems, or worries you for any reason, you should call a licensed electrician to have it inspected and ensure that it is not at risk of causing an electrical fire.

On average, the cost to run electricity to an above ground pool is about $1,000. Certain factors can increase or cut these costs. For example, a larger pool or one farther from your house may require additional trenching for wiring, bringing costs as high as $4,000. On the other hand, a standard-sized pool closer to your home may only cost $350 to hook up to electricity.

To power the system down, simply turn it off and cut it off from its electricity. That means removing the transformer from the wall plug and taking out the battery that usually sits within the control panel itself. That will disconnect it from power and essentially reset the entire alarm system.

A duplex outlet simply means that the receptacle has two plug-in outlets for two plugs. It’s a common design choice for homes. The two outlets should be wired identically during installation so the hot side is the same for both.
