"I just wanted to thank Rhian and his crew for the awesome job they did at my house this week. They were very professional in every way. I had our trees trimmed and some brush removed. The wife and I thought that the fee might of been high end at first, but after seeing the end result, it was definitely worth it. So if you're wanting a great job done right the first time I would definitely recommend them"

"Jose and crew removed a large and dying oak tree very near a patio. Showed up when promised and did an excellent job. The price was better than others. I have recommended them to friends."

"Corter's contacted me this morning saying they would be here shortly after noon to give me a quote. He was here at 12:02. (Wow he was prompt!!) We showed him the tree, and he said he could take it to the ground RIGHT now for $275. I was sold, I ran to the bank to get cash to pay him and by time I got back he had the majority of the tree down. It took him and his assistant less than 45 minutes to do it from start to finish... I am so impressed.. I am going to have him come back later this week to grind the stumps down, so I can finally finish my privacy fence...(I am elated at this..) The work was fabulous, they dropped everything without hitting the neighbors car port or my fence or shed... Those guys are fantastic cause it was a tight squeeze.. Thanks Corter's you made my year.. :)"

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

Aim to have your trees inspected and pruned in early spring. At this point in the year, tree service professionals can note where there is old growth from winter and cut that back to encourage new growth for the rest of the year. Pruning at the wrong time of the year could make your trees prone to diseases.

The best time to prune Japanese flowering cherry trees depends on where you live and the type of flowering cherry tree. Some trees benefit from being pruned toward the end of winter or early spring, after the last freeze. Meanwhile, other trees do well after blooming, in late spring or early summer. Avoid pruning your flowering cherry tree in the early winter, as this encourages open wounds that can lead to infections or infestations.

Poison oak is similar to poison ivy in that it's in the same family of plants. Poison oak is identifiable by its rounded-off leaves and hairy leaf texture. Tree-climbing varieties live primarily in western states while low-growing poison oak bushes occupy the eastern states. Treat poison oak like poison ivy to get rid of it permanently.

DIY is risky and not recommended for large trees; professional services ensure safe removal and proper disposal.

Yes, burning wood with Dutch elm disease is a safer way to dispose of it than, say, tossing it in with the rest of your yard waste, which could potentially allow it to spread to healthy trees. But it’s always a good idea to check with your local government to make sure you’re complying with any ordinances about removing diseased trees as well as burning brush piles.
