I know, "you get what you pay for" but there are lots of things to fix in this house so I have to stretch the budget. They responded immediately to my request for bid, had someone out right away for the estimate, and kept following up until we were able to agree on a date. They convinced me the quality of paint they selected was just fine, and it was. They did everything as agreed, and it turned out great. They must post their own positive reviews. They took my $65.00 fee and did nothing"

Dan and Danielle Randolph were able to see the vision that we had for our home and they gave creative input that made for a very unique set of custom cabinets! They operate with the utmost attention to detail--we are so pleased with the work they've done for us! Not only did they build the cabinets that we wanted, they also took on some "unfinished" projects that we needed for our new home--fixing a set of antique corbels that we wanted to use on our covered back porch, they also converted an antique fireplace mantel into a beautiful built-in book case that is in the center of our home. You can technically just paint over hairline cracks in plaster since these cracks are often harmless, but this will mostly be a waste of paint. Paint will only hide the hairline crack for a few months before it shows up again. The best solution is to repair the crack with flexible filler or joint compound before repainting.

Most primers should dry for 24 hours before painting over them, but some primers that are marketed as quick-drying may be paintable sooner. Check the manufacturer’s instructions on your primer to find out how long you should let it dry before painting.

Paint your accent wall last after painting the other walls in the room. This will prevent color bleed and splatter from the adjacent walls. Be sure to give your other walls plenty of time to fully dry and cure before painting your accent wall—you don’t want the tape to pull off fresh paint when you remove it.

You'll need at least two coats of paint when painting your stair railings, despite some manufacturers' claims of single-coat coverage. This is necessary mostly because there are often many corners and details that make it difficult to cover all surfaces evenly with a single coat. Adding a second coat evens out the finish and provides added durability.

The best paint to prevent mold on bathroom walls is one with a glossy sheen. If you choose a satin or semi-gloss finish for a humid room such as a bathroom, its hard surface will deflect moisture rather than absorb it the way a matte or eggshell paint might. Glossy paint has the bonus of being easy to clean, which is a useful feature in a bathroom.
