"1 word. Professionalism. These guys came out and rolled out the red carpet literally .. they laid down protection for my floors, and my walls. My contractor refused to bring in the appliances because he said there was no way anyone would get the refrigerator in without causing damages.. these guys simply said challenge accepted. Not a scratch on my floor or bump against myth walls or doors. Everything was installed and leveled to perfection, everything was tested before they left. I would recommend them to anyone, and I tell my friends and family to only use them. Thank you guys for all your help."

Customers say: Quality work

"Steve came out on short notice on a Saturday to install my water heater. He returned calls, showed up when he said he would, did the work quickly and professionally, and saved my family from a weekend of cold showers in February. He will be our go-to plumber from now on. Highly recommended."

"Switching from a gas car to an EV entails a sharp learning curve. Having a charger installed with an outlet that didn’t previously exist isn’t an easy job. Josiah installed a new outlet, changed the paneling, and set up my charger in two hours. It’s hard enough just to get an electrician to show up. Make your life easier and just hire Josiah to get the job done right."

Electrical questions, answered by experts

If you need to visually inspect your Christmas lights to determine which are good and which need replacement, there are a few things to look for. First, look for discoloration, such as a dark spot or two on the inside of the glass. The spot is an indication of a burnt filament. Also, look for missing filaments, cracked bulb glass, and broken sockets.

Knob and tube wiring is old, and its casing is brittle. This means that it's possible to receive a dangerous electrical shock if you touch a live wire and essentially become an electrical pathway. Although the scenario is unlikely, touching any K&T wiring is simply not a good idea in any instance. Leave any wire handling to the professionals.

If you’re someone who likes to tinker around the house and make DIY repairs, a multimeter or voltmeter can be a great tool to have around, especially if you’re comfortable with electrical repairs. That said, if working with electricity feels out of your depth, you don’t need to invest in a multimeter. Reach out to an electrical pro for any electrical work you need done if any part of you is hesitant about a project.

There are various reasons why an electrical outlet can stop working. You might have to do some detective work to understand whether it’s a problem with the attached appliance, the outlet itself, or a faulty breaker. Sometimes, old age or loose wiring are to blame; other times, it can be as simple as an overloaded circuit tripping the system and cutting power. If you’re troubleshooting doesn’t solve the mystery or repairs, or replacements are required, it’s time to call in the pros.

No. Do not use a 14-gauge wire on a 20-amp outlet. A certified licensed electrician would know that the National Electrical Code (as per Section 240.4(D) subsection 3) requires 14-gauge wires to be used with a maximum amplitude of 15. Therefore, you should only use 12-gauge wires on 20-amp outlets.
