"I was looking for painters and I've sent messages to several and I haven't got any feedback from anybody except for Pro Service. It was just one person. He is okay. I'd say it's pretty good so far."

"David made sure his guys were there on time and they quoted the job to take a week, but it only ended up being 4 days at most. The worked from like 9am to 8p so they were really busting things out. They also kept my husband and I up to date worth details and nothing was left in the dark. We are going to do the exterior of our house this summer and David is already on the line."

Wallpapering questions, answered by experts

No. If you overlap seams, the wallpaper will not come out flat. In addition to possibly throwing off your pattern match between rolls, overlapping seems necessary. If wallpaper is properly acclimated, and temperature and moisture conditions are optimal during installation, there is no reason to fear shrinkage as it dries.

The two most common reasons wallpaper does not stick are a lack of preparation and improper adhesive. Be sure to use the wallpaper paste designed for the type of paper you choose. Before beginning your project, make sure the walls are clean and free of dust, grease, and oils.

To layer wallpaper over wallpaper, inspect your existing wallpaper for problem areas. Damaged wallpaper should not be covered. If it’s okay to proceed, prep by turning off the electricity and removing any outlet and switch covers. Dust your walls and lightly rinse them to prevent the existing paper from peeling. Apply primer, then apply your new wallpaper.

Deciding between a lighter or darker accent wall depends on the effect you’re going for. Choosing an accent wall in a lighter color will make a room feel brighter and more spacious and complement rooms with less natural light. A darker accent wall will add drama and depth to a room and help make larger rooms feel more cozy and intimate.

No, you don’t always have to remove old wallpaper before applying a new layer. However, you should pull off the existing wallpaper if it’s cracked, peeling, or in poor condition. We’d also recommend against putting wallpaper over textured or dark-colored wallpaper because the old layer may be visible through the new one. In addition, if you try to hang new wallpaper over vinyl-coated wallpaper, the adhesive might not stick properly.
