"Very personable on the phone, quoted a price and said they could be there the next day between 8-12. She called as she had told me she would about 30 minutes away. I told her I was there and she said we can be there in about 15 minutes. They arrived right on time. They came in and removed my mattress and were finished in a few minutes. Very professional and friendly. I would definitely recommend and will use again if the need arises. Thank you, Sharon Jones"

"I called Steve around the holidays.  Didn't get an answer and left a message, but got a call right back from him.  We made an arrangement to have two of his guys come and remove debris from a third floor room that I am remodeling.  His guys came out at the agreed upon day.  They were running a few minutes late, but called to confirm, so that was just fine.  They removed the debris and cleaned up the area to ensure no screws or glass were remaining.  Overall I'm really happy with the job they did an the thoroughness of his guys.

Garbage Removal questions, answered by experts

The main issue with garbage disposals is clogging. This can mean a clogging of the pipes that expel the food along with water, or a clogging of the mechanical parts themselves. The problem lies in the solution because you can’t easily see clogs if they’re inside the system, and reaching in to dislodge stuck items is a risky proposal. Call a pro and ask what they would do, but if you can’t see the clog easily, and running the unit won’t free it, you need to let a professional handle the fix.

While the drain connection for a garbage disposal is nearly universal and fits standard sink drain holes of 3 1/2 to 4 inches, the size of the disposal unit itself is not. You must have enough space in the cabinet underneath your sink to accommodate the disposal's housing. A larger model may not fit in a compact cabinet or if the existing plumbing is arranged in an unusual way. Before buying a new garbage disposal, measure the available space under your sink. If you are replacing an old unit, it's often easiest to choose a new model of a similar size.

Soil is just one of the items you shouldn't put down a garbage disposal. Garbage disposals are only meant for soft, non-fibrous foods. Large amounts of topsoil, dirt, or rocks will damage the blades of your garbage disposal or clog the pipes. If a small amount of dirt goes down the drain as you repot a plant, you shouldn't have to worry, but never dump a whole pot of soil in the sink for fast disposal.

To prevent drain clogs, perform regular maintenance and cleaning. Avoid disposing of substances like grease or coffee grounds down the sink. Additionally, installing and routinely using drain strainers can help catch debris and prevent blockages from forming.

As with many appliances, proper maintenance is key to maximizing your garbage disposal’s life span. If everyone in your household is on board with proper care and maintenance, like running water while operating the disposal, you should get plenty of years out of your unit. Avoid putting the wrong food items down the disposal, including pasta, rice, bread, and more.
