"I had Shanks Heating and Cooling install a new GeoThermal unit at my home. They were amazing. From start to finish Each team member was respectful and professional. They made a stressful situation better by answering my every question, even simple questions, and never made me feel stupid for asking. They were there on time and every time they said they would be there. The price that was quoted was exactly what they said and they even upgraded my thermostat without charge! I would recommend this company to anyone and if you are searching for a new furnace or a/c at a minimum you should give them a chance to earn your business. They are amazing!!!"

"Brian was my handyman and is now my favorite handyman! Lol. He is a nice, sweet and efficient builder. He got my bed built in like 2 1/2 hours. I was so happy. I would definitely recommend these guys. I know this isn’t a good picture of my bed, but I wouldn’t even have a picture if it wasn’t for Brian. THANK YOU, BRIAN!!!!"

"Todd removed a twenty year old tub, from a Modular home, Todd took on the project, making the required modifications as needed. This included fixing plastic drain pipe that had failed, replacing it with the proper PVC pipe, for proper drainage. Todd took the time to explain and answer any questions, and provided great detail on what options were available with the new tub. Todd is very detailed and takes great pride in his work. I have to say I called several local contractors, and Todd's bid was reasonable and affordable. I would hire Todd in the future for any additional projects."

"MC Mechanical replaced our furnace and air conditioner. WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND the good folks at MC. Knowledgeable, excellent communication, always on time and on schedule with competitive pricing. We got 3 quotes...chose MC. They were extremely thorough and the ONLY company to discover our disconnect had a dangerously Frankenstein'd fuse setup. I've never been this comfortable in my home. We couldn't be happier. Thank you, guys!"

"Matt did an excellent job reinstalling some fans that were coming out of my ceiling and doing some repair work. Also on the fans replace, replacing the pool chain switch on each one of them. Is very courteous and professional. He was out of my house in less than two hours, installing two fans and taken down the old ones and install them to pass."

Subcontractors questions, answered by experts

It usually takes around four to six months to build and install a modular home, although your timeline could go up to around eight months if there are delays in the manufacturing or permitting process. Heavy site preparation and foundation pouring can extend that timeline if you need them, as can customizations you want for your modular home. Your modular home company should be able to provide an estimate for the construction timeline before you sign any contracts or agree to any work.

Drawing your own floor plans is acceptable for many kinds of projects, including interior design and room layout. You can use floor plan software to create the plans but keep in mind that the floor plan will only be as accurate as the measurements you take and enter into the software.

Yes, most designers tailor plans to fit your budget. Discuss financial constraints during initial consultations.

Depending on what the blueprints are for, a qualified draftsperson, contractor, or architect can draw them up. In some cases, including specialty permitting for a build, you may be required to use a licensed architect.

In many cases, a blueprint drawn up by a certified professional is required before a city or municipality approves a permit.

Stone, marble, and brick are common building materials of Neoclassical architecture, though you will also find wood flooring and a range of natural stone tiles. Since several home styles fall under Neoclassical architects' umbrella, a range of building materials—including traditional wood framing—will make an appearance.
