"The company was efficient and communicated well. I had several opportunities to check every area they worked on over and didn’t find anything they missed or skimped on. I went with their wet blown cellulose for my interior walls. It dried quickly and remained in place for a few weeks until my drywall went up."

"A sole proprietor business, Green Star provided a very competitive itemized written bid. Stuart was very accommodating in considering old (>100 years) home challenges and discussing insulation options and solutions. Promptly arrived on scheduled date, his team was diligent in adding blow in insulation to attic and exterior wall space, as well as foam to basement sill plates, all in one day. Very friendly, knowledgable, professional and unobtrusive in providing their services."

"My experience with Victory Insulation went extremely well. They installed blown fiberglass insulation in my attic. The installation crew was very helpful and easy to work with. Since the install, my family has already noticed our hvac running a lot less within the last few months. I highly recommend working with Victory."

Before we started you could see the ceiling joists. We made sure this insulation was up to EnergyStar recommendations, R49 (about 18" of blown fiberglass insulation).

"Excellent work, competitive pricing and hard working staff! After initial consultation Mauricio gave me multiple options of insulation level for my attic to bring it up to date and/or blow in additional and that's what's I decided to go with. On the day of appointment their team got right to it and figured out best point of entry and only took a few hours to complete the job! They come with a special ruler indicator that verifies the insulation is to the level requested, then after a quick clean up they were on their way to the next job with another satisfied customer. Overall a great help and I've already booked them for some additional work in my basement as well! Would definitely recommend C4 insulation for all your home needs!"

Drywall Insulation questions, answered by experts

You should wait at least 24 hours for drywall mud to dry before sanding or applying another coat. However, the exact drying time depends on several factors, including the thickness of the application, room temperature, humidity, and the type of compound used. Thicker layers, or projects in high humidity, may require 48 hours or more. Lightweight compounds tend to dry faster than heavier, all-purpose ones. You'll know the mud is ready when it feels completely dry and firm to the touch and has changed to a consistent light color. Sanding too early can cause smudging or gouges, so patience is essential for a smooth finish.

You should stagger drywall sheets to help prevent cracking. The joints between drywall sheets are the weak spots, so if you install drywall with seams aligned, you’ll create weak lines that run across the length of the wall and extend from floor to ceiling. But when you stagger drywall, the solid sections of panels will support the joints. This can prevent seams from cracking or separating due to fluctuating temperature and humidity, vibrations from movement inside the home, and gravity.

You should do a little bit of sanding between adding coats of mud. Knock down any ridges or significantly imperfect areas through sanding, which should help you apply the next coat of mud smoothly. If your first coat of mud is pretty smooth after it dries, a quick sanding is all you’ll need. Don’t forget to wipe away any dust after each sanding process.

Costs depend on damage extent of damage, labor, finishing, and whether mold remediation is needed.

Whether you need a drywall anchor depends on the specifics of your project, particularly what you're hanging and where. You do not need a drywall anchor if you can screw or nail the object directly into a wooden stud, as the wood provides sufficient support and stability. However, if there are no studs in the location where you plan to hang the item, you should use drywall anchors to ensure it is securely supported. For very lightweight objects, like small pictures, adhesive picture hanging strips can be a suitable alternative to anchors.
