"Company responded immediately and set up an appointment within 2 days. I hired them to power wash the north side of our house, driveway and sidewalk. Excellent work. When he power washed the sidewalk, the spray sent some mulch onto the porch. I told him not to worry about it, I d just sweep it off but he insisted on power washing the porch at no charge! I definitely will use them again."

The amount of pressure you need will depend on your project and the material you’re washing, but consumer pressure washers range from 500 to 2,400 PSI. Porous materials like brick and stucco should not be blasted with anything stronger than 1,000 PSI, while you can use a PSI of up to 2,400 to clean a vinyl fence.

It depends on the type of surface, but if you’re preparing to pressure wash a driveway, you’ll start by using a broom or leaf blower to get rid of dirt, leaves, and other debris. Then, move any nearby items (like outdoor furniture and potted plants) and cover in-ground plants with a tarp or plastic sheet. After that, you can apply degreaser spray or another pretreatment solution to any stains and scrub them with a stiff brush before pressure washing.

Sodium bicarbonate does not need to be cleaned up as thoroughly as many of its aggregate counterparts because it is not considered dangerous to the environment, nor to pets or people. While you will likely want to clean up the dust with a shop-vac and some water for aesthetic and comfort reasons, soda blasting cleanup is much simpler than for most sandblasting.

It’s best to pressure wash in the spring, but it’s okay to pressure wash in the spring or the fall. Dirt, grime, and mildew can gather and reappear over the winter, so pressure washing only in the fall may not be worth the effort. Instead, pressure washing in the spring cleans areas around the house for the rest of the season. You can always touch up again during the summer or fall to make spring cleaning a little easier.
